  • Amazing.... I have a number of friends and acquaintances into T's and the only option I've ever been given in the event is 'the cold sleep'. Thank you, I'm so glad I came across this before I potentially find myself with this situation. Any option is better than putting a T down. Even if you do miss your much needed beauty sleep. :)

  • what exactly is molting

  • Great to see someone who takes such good care for their pets and truly shows their dedication, many people would not be able to bring them selves to do this. Well done :)

  • Kudos to you, the level of care and respect you give to your 'babies'. It's not everyday that someone cuts a moulting spider free. :)

  • Have you ever been bitten by your pets?

  • thats sick i hope she gets well! good job man ! they are kind of scary to me at least but still very cool

  • Ist die echt weil sie nicht beisst oder so ?

  • @mrsupermann48

die ist definitiv echt , während der häutung sind spinnen wie gelähmt

  • @perenti666 ok danke ich finde tarantulas sooo cool

  • EEK! you touched her! /shiver

  • I heard that feeding a tarantula a pinkie (baby mouse) can be very bad relating to them being able to molt and i was wondering if there was any truth to that?

  • @Mr77tty Yes. High calcium content. Dangerous to the T; risking a bad molt.

  • whats a molt?

  • @cidjero1 a molt is where an animal has to shed their skin because the skin doesnt grow like the animal so they will shed their old skin and grow a new one. you are welcome.

  • @cidjero1 no wait. i have a better way of saying it. You know how we all wear clothes? Well its like they are getting a new pair of clothes when they outgrow it, taking the other one off and getting another pair.

  • Hiya, Ah molt.... I lost my tarantula to this :( not wet molt, ive not a clue what happened O_O I moved her (the vet said too) because mud was eroding because i had formed a small cliff for her to play on. She was a Avicularia avicularia and a beauty at that! Well it was a month ago and she was molting. My friend a Tarantula Handler helped me until... for some unknown reason she was oozing pus! The vet said leave her and i did. Turns out she died the next day. i miss my cherry! (thats her name)

  • wow i hope i never need to do this with my baby!! i'd probably faint from worrying about killing her.

  • AB-DO-MEN, Anonciate.

  • Before you make ma touch a spider you will have to KILL ME!

  • I could imagine buying your place after this and wondering what that black shit is in the carpet. It would be worse than my wildest imagination, LOL.

  • dang bro you must have a steady hand to not clip her legs or anything lol but i still feel sorry for the lil guy anyone else would probly let her die good job!

  • She's awfully still throughout this o_O

  • @StrayingSoul When a trantula molts they are basically unable to move until they harden up.

  • Me ha demostrado que si algien como usted puede criar arañas, las puede criar cualquiera... Usted mismo la ha matado dandole la vuelta y agotandola y seguidamente la manipula de forma atroz y a la desesperada. Increible.

  • why... why was she just laying there?

forgive me if thats a stupid question, im new to all this...

  • @PenguinsRule1395 When spider is starting to molting, they have to lay on their back to remove their exco skeleton so they can grow bigger after removing their old one. Apparently Sammy have trouble molting it off herself, so Rob had to remove it but it wasnt successful. She passed away after attempt of "surgery" the exco skeleton off her. :(

  • I had the same situation with my chromatopelma. I removed the molt but she didn't make it, she died on next day :|

  • Poor thing...

  • Is she still alive?

  • omg

  • Why wouldn't she bite you?

  • you are awesome!

  • all pet owners should be like you man

  • the tarantula must be freaking out xD

  • uuuggghhhhh

  • Comment removed

  • She cant move?

  • dude you're like a father to them. :)

  • Did she make it?!

  • how did you catch her in this condition at five in the morning???

  • @sacredpythons I saw her starting to molt 8 hours before and kept a very close eye on her.....these trully are pets to me and I care a lot for them.

  • your the man !!!!!

  • Why u did this?

  • @MrGuilhermectbaa The molt was stuck..

  • why isnt she moving lol i dont know anything about tarantulas i just like watching videos

  • @XxRebornBamfxX shes gone into a moult, shes basically shedding her exo-skeleton (skin) so she can grow bigger.

  • poor girl

  • wats wet mold

  • if you dont mind me asking but how long have been in the T buisness for ?

  • @DcLomas96 I have been coolecting for 23 years

  • that shows love to you T good job

  • great stuff u saved her life

  • I'm very sorry you lost Sammy but this video is very interesting!

  • wow it looks like a dissection and not a helping surgery

  • @zachryan10 It is herr old exco coming off???? It was stuck....had no choice.

  • @inferenc Good by TROLLL!!

  • @inferenc And I hope you go back to school. So you can learn to use proper grammer and spelling.

  • @inferenc twat

  • Wow that was amazing. I hope I never have to do that to my T's

Please check out my T videos.

    Subscribed :)

  • you got dexterous hands my friend...

your T`s are really lucky they have you for family

  • @bitoverrate They are like jelly when molting....very soft!

  • how would you feel about making a show called Tarantuala ER, kidding but seriously commendable job on that

  • they wouldn't attack while molting eh?

  • @mistikpoet oops mom i cut its legs off....ANNABELL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......mom she is talking to me thru the Ouija board!!!!

  • If she could possibly know what You've done, she would probably be the first Tarantula that would cry happy and kiss you xD... :) Unbelievable :) !

  • you are awesome dude

  • How do I prevent that from happening to my T's??

  • rofl. manual molting of a t......only in robs world =P rob, you rock.

  • Rob, that was amazing! I'm watching updates chronologically. Your very intense effort I hope, pays off.

  • Eu não acredito noq estou vendo!!!

  • im not guna lie im not a fan of spiders of any kind, they scare me to death. But i really admire your passion and love for the animal ^_^

  • Almost like what happened with Chevy. He had a growth that I didn't see only until after he molted. His abdomen was partly wet (I put flour over it) and had what looked like a shriveled growth area. Next day after I put flour over it, it had refilled, kind of hardened and on about the third day after his molt, he had no heartbeat.. :-(

  • :( man I hope she can pull through I have no nails left I have been bitting them so much Hope she lives God bless

  • damm that sucks i really hope she pulls through and the care you have for your t's is second to none how u you wont give up on them and try every thing possible to save them if there in trouble

  • Man you have my respect too for sure. i wouldnt have the heart to do something like that. would fear that it dies because of me^^

well maybe you can help me. i got a c.crawshayi per shipping and there was no heatpack in the package..so she was very immobile. well i put her in her enclosure on the heater for some minutes. then she walked a bit but then she fell on her back and had to stand up again.

what can i do, that makes here feeling good again..cause she didnt dig a hole yet.

  • oh man, rob, hope she pulls through man, but she is in good hands with you bud.

  • You're amazing! Respect!

  • rob all i have to say is ur a hero for saving this tarantula and now my respect for you has gone up 500 percent

  • Its amazing though, because she must know you are trying to help her, to not nip at you....or hair you. I think she truly understands that, and she appreciates you for it.

I'm praying as hard as I can

  • If ANYBODY could save her... it'd be you, Rob! Come on, Sammy... you can do it! :)

  • I am no expert...but my snake got stuck in his skin and the vet put him in a moisture tank...and it totally worked. It looks like she did not have enough moisture to molt.

  • Nice work! Hope she pulls through...

  • it must have been hard to remove the molt. hope shes ok!

  • Hey Rob I will pray for her and you!

  • Wow! Sammy! :( I hope she is okay in a few days! Amazing job Rob.

  • 4-5 in the morning rob u r a beast lol its 8:37 pm now tough so it wouls be 5 pm no?

  • Wow rob I have no idea how you manged to do that, let alone at 5 in the morning! Hope she pulls through for you.

  • amazing rob

  • Maybe you should open a clinic for tarantulas. My exotics vet has turned down patients' Ts because all the techs are afraid of them and the vets don't know very well how to care properly for them.

You could be a world first tarantula vet? Or at least write a book on tarantula vet care? I would buy it!

  • absolutely amazing rob hope she pulls though

  • Aww... poor Sammy.

Good job Rob. I hope for a good outcome. **fingers crossed**

  • Good luck, mate! I had to do that to my poor H. gigas but wasn't successful. I guess it's more serious with H. gigas which like never get molt problem.

Hope she pulls through!!! Come on Sammy girl!

  • Sammy, you are gonna make it!

Rob, this was by far the most breathtaking and educational T video ive ever seen! I'm still crossing my fingers for her!

  • What an amazing video. Really hope she pulls through dude.

  • Aww she is rather cute looking!! XD

    Hope sammy get on well!

    That was interesting to see!

  • Still rooting for you, Sammy!

  • Rob, your are the patron saint of spiders

  • rob you stayed up and worked so hard to keep her alive. you really are a good guy and care for your Ts beyond i even see people do for their children. ill pray that she gets well. from the work you did to save her i hope she lives. God speed my friend

  • if i was a T i would want to have you as my owner

  • @freckle101 haha for real.

Hope all is well wit sammy

  • @Scorpionking1104 It was, I didn't get to bed until 7 AM but it was well worth it to me...if she is to pass it will not be as painful as being stuck in her molt.
