  • i have saw all the videos of 10p6 and i have a question for 10p6 .

what you thing its gone happen when the battery of a car fails ?

when battery failed on my car the brakes and the steering did not work well they was very deadly . you do not need to have a lot of brain to think that is normal to have this problems . also my car is petrol burner only and all the emergency lights was on because of the problem . i stand for the honda

  • Never mind the fact that, at almost any given moment, there are only like 4 vehicles within VIEW in those damn HOV lanes. Tempting though it may be to pass those jokers going slow in front of me or to the right, I KNOW that's the one time I'll get nailed by a WSP...

  • @Deafboyasian

    It's not I-5, it's SR 16.

  • As for the bickering the $1.75 tolls are fine for people like you and me but what about the poor folk who earn minimum pay, especially when the tolls are scheduled to rise each year?

  • Good thing we have the highest minimum wage in the country!

  • It is. The federal one is going to over take it soon though. Minimum Wage in WA will probably be like $15 in a year or so, lol.

  • True a HOV lane to Purdy would need the spit widening to make the whole info structure work, then again they should have widened the spit years ago just as they should have gave the Jackson on ramp its own lane across the bridge and made it exit at the Olympic junction; then taken the HOV lane to the Purdy exit; that's just common sense.

  • Also, the funding is not merely for the HOV lanes, but for the entire project. Tacoma Narrows Bridge Constructors have to be paid for the entire project... hence the tolls (and if $3 is too much, get Good to Go... or look into what the inflation-adjusted toll was for the 1950 bridge!)

  • Funding is for the bridge, repair of the old bridge and toll system. The rest is DOT funded. I have G2G thanks, but what about those innocent people who only earn minimum pay? As for inflated price of the old bridge tolls, look into the toll schedule for the new bridge. Increases ever year!

  • Even though the project only adds an HOV lane both ways... it has clearly worked this past week. Having one way bridges and wider area keeps driver's feet on the gas pedal. The solution worked! Also, the bridge is still designed to support a future second deck. It was never discussed what the procedure would be, however. You are correct in that the current cables will not support another deck, but when the time comes to do so, part of the project will be reinforcing those cables.

  • There has been traffic, lots of it too at times. As for the second deck they cannot strengthen the cables, They would have to install new ones which is a case of an additional $250 Million, extra tolls and bridge closure; as for the traffic again are you looking forward to next summer when they close the old bridge for a year or 2?
