Also I have personaly killed many people singlehanded with only a plasma pistol. soooooo, In MYopinion its a very good weapon if you know how to use it.

@LucarioJHi Plasma Pistol is actually the strongest Plasma Weapon. It has very good accuracy, takes only about 10 shots, and with a good rate of fire is very powerful. Plus the fact that if you charge it up, and then switch to the Assault Rifle, it only takes 2 bullets to finish off your opponent.

There's a reason the plasma rifle doesn't appear in multiplayer (except in a recently revised loadout in Elite Slayer). Most players just use it to drain shields and then go for the melee.

So.. what you did here was record all of the guns firing at one spartan and then release a video every week or so of showing the same clips from the first episode because you already recorded every gun being used with copy and paste in a simple video editing program for free and called it a series claiming to awswer questions about the guns strength without putting accuracy into the equation. The reason the plasma rifle is weak against others, it's because its only more effective on shields, and so does the plasma repeater, but the repeater is faster because of course, it's bigger.I read this on the Halo: Reach pages on Bungie.net.

You have to spam the trigger of the plasma pistol and it has less ammo. You only have to hold down the trigger of the plasma rifle and that makes it easier to aim.

Plasma pops shields quicker. But bullets kill off flesh quicker. the time between bullet and plasma shield popping is less than a second. but bullets killing off unshielded players is about 1 second quicker than plasma. which is why i think human weapons are better.

i don't think you should use the plasma pistol in these tests. the rate of fire really depends on whoever's using it. in fact, this applies for a lot of guns, particularly precision weapons. at close range, you're going to sacrifice accuracy for rate of fire and vice versa...

the way i see it is that the plasma rifle can take down someones shield really fast so u can easily switch to a second weapon like a pistol for an easy headshot. i used plasma rifle on the campaign, legendary solo to take out the elites easily

It's just a damage/second test. The plasma rifle probably has a longer period where you can fire it, as opposed to the DMR where you only get a certain # of shots.

So it depends on the situation.

The Plasma Rifle is basically an enerrgy shield depleter, so it serves as more of a tool than a weapon. It's not really meant to deal instant lethal kills.
