Jamie Oliver says although spinners are useful, if you place your washed veg in a clean, dry tea towel and spin it fast "like a mad man" it does the same thing without the need of buying more crap to clutter up the kitchen
In my opinion a salad spinner is a must-have. I hate wet salads. Funny, the water left in mine after spinning is green hued. And I like to apply the little black "brake" button once I pump the spinner. I think it expedites the process, forcing the leaves against the side of the spinner. Thanks for the all the great, inormative videos. Oh, and I might add I like that you are very nice on the eyes too! ;-)
Hello. Most kitchen supply stores will have them. I don't know what stores you have in your area. Do a google search for "Salad Spinner." There are plenty of online businesses that sell them. The brand I use is OXO. It is really nice. Hope this helps.
:) Thanks for being such a sport. I like many of your videos that show home cooks how to properly use different utensils and why. I'm a big fan of FoodTV network, but I have to say they usually don't teach you really the foundational basics (except for maybe Alton Brown's show) and some of those chefs don't even have good skills like the couple from "Down Home Cooking with the Neely's". Bad, bad knife skills, both of them!
:) I have a great sense of humor, that is why I approved your funny comment. I try and mix it up a bit on my channel. I also try and remember what it was like being a home cook and what I wanted to learn.

No need for salad spinner. Just put the lettuce in your washing machine, put it in the spin cycle, and YOU'RE DONE!
