Not used to this at all but... surprisingly good. This might sound like a stupid question but... it's mostly falsetto right?. I'm mean it's quite different compared to his spoken voice. But the control and the brightness on it makes me think. By the way, if it's falsetto there's nothing "false" in it. 1:37 it's really a true flesh and bone instrument. That's an amazing set of pipes!!!
@SuperHeroMan411 i know that acapella means without music... and in the beginning of the video he sings without music, and i want to know what the name of the song is that he sings... it could might be an english folk song or something like that....
his voice sounds so puny... he sounds like a guy trying to sing a gurls part... if tht were the case this would be adequate since this is suppose to be a counter tenor it is nt very good

Dude you sound so LAMEEEE......why are you singing like a little girl........COUNTERTENORS are a bogus category....they have ruined singing....if you are a man sing like a man....we have girls to sing these parts....we don't need freakish performances.....LAME!!
@JesusaloneisLord this guys voice is an absolute joy isnt it i got into the counter tennor thing after watching the movie Farinelli the Castrato ( fortunately this unthinkable practice no longer exists. one peron ( now dead that I have been listening to on youtube is Klaus Nomi, he's amazing i recomend him singing Dido's lament, the Cold song and more enjoy best wishes from the UK
Beautiful and incredible voice, a really amazing color!!!! I love all Andreas Scholl!! ^_^. But, please, would you tell me the name of this piece and who is the composer?
Before people start jumping all over me, I'm sorry for sounding so bitchy in my previous comment. This opening just caught me off guard. I stand by my comment that it is not Scholl's best work--not even close. However, I should have found a nicer way of saying it. My apologies.
When I heard the opening "number" of this trailer, I thought, "I'm going to buy it soon too--several copies. I need something new to put my flower pots on." I just hope that the opener is a chapter I can skip. Things definitely improve after that low point. I hope this disc justly documents this fine artist's work on the stage and in the studio. The beginning is simply not Scholl's finest moment.
piu passa il tempo e costui la sua voce la manda a cagare, peccato, all'inizio era promettente.

I'm a soprano and I love the countertenor voice. His voice is so light and breezy. It's wonderful :)

Oh I agree with you -- I don't like his voice singing pop. It doesn't work for me. His Baroque is gorgeous, though.
