@dragonmaster786 It is a super light impact rated helmet, it isn't ballistic rated but it is light and comfy that is important for people that are doing milsim more than the fact it can save you from a 9mm

@dragonmaster786 The MICH will NOT stop a 7.62 until it is 200 yards out, pistol rounds are a different story. The MICH and Ops-Core FAST Ballistic will both stop 9mm, .45, and even .44 magnum. the 7.62 has too much kinetic energy and rips through them at ranges under 200 yards.

These helmets aren't made by a few people in their basement going "AMIDOINITRITE?" There are multiple engineers and years of research that go into them. Every helmet you see is a very impressive piece of materials engineering. they are not simple to make.

Why don't you educate yourself before judging.

@usarmyranger5 They should fit, if you look for pictures of Navy SEALs deployed in Afghanistan or you watch Bomb Patrol Afghanistan, you should see the operators wearing comtac II's underneath their mich 2000's. It all depends on the head size and the helmet size.
if you look on the airsoft canada forums in the helmet gallery one guy filled the holes with putty and when it dryed he sanded it and painted it. so if you decide you want to make it look like the ballistic version you could try that.

Just a heads up for people wanting a cheaper alternative, Ops-Core makes the FAST Base Jump Military Helmet. At $240 it's considerably cheaper, and I see no differentiation with the Carbon variant. Correct me if I'm wrong. It seems by their description that it is simply a training version of the Carbon.

The difference between that and the Carbon is that this is made of Carbon fiber, weighs practically nothing, and has a different shape with different air slits on the top. That is the training version of this but I'm still happy I spent the money on this
They are BOTH training versions of the ballistic version. Carbon is too expensive to be a good training version so they came out with the fast bump.
The Carbon will probably be phased out sooner or later as it really doesn't fill any purpose on market. The Carbon was an expensive prototype if you will for the fast bump.
hey kid this video was very indepth on the ops core helmet. as a matter of fact i've been doing my research on this kind of helmet and your video was the most instructive of them all, and thats basically looking for. as a matter of fact I just got my ops core the other day and too all those guys that are out there saying that they can get replicas for 70 bucks, well thats all good but just remember one thing. you dont get a 5yr warrenty with those copies and ops core givesw you that.

Just want to let you know because I remembered this video when I saw it. You're not sure if they make OPS Core FAST helmet replicas. I found one in Japan. It's not a website you could order from in the West but they do exist and if you were really dedicated you could probably get someone in Japan to order it for you and send it to you. It's 13,800 Yen which is about $180.

You get a replica of the ballistic version called a LATCH helmet in the UK. They are pretty hard to find and cost about $150 (£100) I have one and it's superb but still the real deal is probably far better.

You get a replica of the ballistic version called a LATCH helmet in the UK. They are pretty hard to find and cost about $150 (£100) I have one and it's superb but still the real deal is probably far better.

@ArmedSchmoo I believe I said that in the video. This is the "closest" legal option to the real thing that DEA operators use. The real one is over 1K and is ballistic.
