Jesus made a distinction between Simon the petros and the basic truth (petra) in Peters confession, the truth upon which the ekklesia ( church) was to be built (matt 16: 18). Okay if you want proof. I'll get it. I do not spread rumors or make outrageous claims. I stopped going to the R.C.C. at least 25 years ago after learning the truth about it. Almost every Roman Catholic I know simply cannot handle the truth.
