@tbaarr1 it was a depression. a deep scary scathing jobless depression. for decades beforehand a light recession came around every decade. wilson put us into a deep scary depression and the stocks did crash. harding pulled us out. coolidge normalized the low taxes and business flourished. the depression was supposed to be decade recession under hoover. roosevelt got in and screwed it up with heightened taxes and new deals. its the depression anywhere else in the world, why not here?

look up the forgotten depression of the 1920's. it was worse then the great depression. this is how i no what happens. woodrow wilson and as a result of his war {which americans were jailed if the criticized} sent us into a deep depression. harding came in and hired melon. melon studied taxes and learned that when u raise taxes, revenue starts to taper off. so he realized that if u cut taxes u'de probably be better off. the result was a speedy recovery to a horrible economic problem

@tbaarr1 problem is simply that u dont have ur facts straight. if u studied history u would no that woodrow wilson plunged us into the forgotten depression, and then calvin collidge brought us out by lowering taxes and promoting small business. this lead to time of prosper called the roaring '20s. in 1929 the dustbowl hit, food wasnt growing, and then hoover probably didnt make it much better. roosevelt was then elected and put the new deal into effect which extended the depression
