@999sherwin I'm not familiar with laser diodes, but you are going to need a resistor no matter what, but if you want you can still try it without a resistor and see what happens. It's all a learning experience :P
Cool video except, you forgot to mention that you need to buy the good kinds of leds that have the resistors already built into them so that they don't burn out within an hour. And you also forgot to mention that you would need exactly 3 LED's when connected to a 9 volt. if the led's rated at around 3 volts each. Otherwise it's actually correct if you had mentioned those things. I spent so much money on batteries as a kid playing around with this stuff. You should definitely get rechargeable's.
flux prevents icicles, you really should use it. If you were and i missed it, you should wash the flux off as well. depending on what kind you have, water or alcohol should be fine, this prevents corrosion and makes a more complete molecular connection.
hey, i just added a video response titled "wtf is wrong?". i need to make an LED circuit because im making a deadmau5 head, and i wand the eyes to glow. anyhow, i made mi circuit and its not working. im using a 9V battery, a 100 ohms resistor, and 2 mA LED. i made sure all the wires are touching and all that. i just don't get what is wrong with it. PLEASE, check out the 20 sec video to see if i did something wrong
i have a switch that has 3 rows of 2 studs ( or 2 columns of 3 studs each w.e it is), one for the positive and one for the negative. I i wanted to make a circuit using this and one led, how would i go about doing this? Please respond asap
@gunsRfun11 simply connect one positive lead to the red wire (power) (make sure it goes first so that its "in front" of the resistor) and connect the adjacent ground lead on the switch to the black wire (ground). I
m pretty sure this would work but if it doesnt there is always just trial and error.
ok so what im doing needs a trigger and not a switch and i was wondering if it woz possible to make a chain of risistors that carry electricity when they all touch and then stop as soon as they disconnect plz reply ASAP!
@KORNdog1986 simply snip the positive lead (usually red wire) and solder a small switch in between the two snipped parts of wire. the switch should have studs or something that you can solder the wire to. TY for commenting.
In the video some info was wrong like "never connect negative to negative or positive to positive". But for starters just make the circuit how I made it.
How many LEDs can you safely run off the 9v battery?

can i make a circuit without resistors but jus the battery case battery and soldering all of them together?
Please answer me thanks :)
9011sherwin 3 months ago
@9011sherwin No, you need resistors so the LEDs don't burn out. Without them your LEDs will last 3 seconds

@YourBarelyLegal where do i get resistors? how do i choose them?
9011sherwin 3 months ago
@9011sherwin You can easily find resistors at Radioshack for really cheap (50 cents)

@YourBarelyLegal can i get resistors at a hardware store? i am in singapore and do i nid to choose them accordingly?

@YourBarelyLegal and where to get leds in singapore? :D

@Cooldude3ful I'm not so sure what you mean by a trigger, but you should just do some trial and error. It's the best way to learn :)

if i wanted to do the same circuit but i wanted the 2 leds a little distance could i use a copper wire to connect the two leds

Feel sorry for that counter top, lol. You should invest in a hobbyist vise or anything to hold it for you as it will make your life so much easier.

this is just what i wanted, thanks. now, assuming you wanted a switch to turn the LED's on or off, how would you go about doing that?
