Generally the babies will take on the skin type of the female that gives birth to it but not always. Sometimes you get a split to and have to find another ghost to have a baby with using the off spring. I've done similar with the reaper that is a male and have had females give birth to normal skinned and black reaper babies, best bet is to try for twins or better you will get the desired type with one of the babies.

I have two ghosts now husband and wife with two ghost daughters. I also have some new default maternity clothing for teens that should work with the teen pregnancy mod.
No aliens though, I used to love turning the whole town into a bunch of green skinned aliens. Now i'm working on making the whole town full of ghosts. Only thing that I have to gripe about is the fact I can't make my own town from scratch there are two towns to choose from and that is it so far. I understand that there will be a town editor made so you can make the roads, lots and all that good stuff. I can wait on that though.
ohh that's such crap, they should definitely update it with the ability to create new towns. i could see that having a bunch of towns could definitely slow down the game, but maybe there could be a maximum number of towns you can have running? i like the moving roads around idea though, and i still can't wait to get this game.
