J. Moss bedda give it!!!! My daughters friends who know nothing about church....convinced me to buy them his last cd with "Florida" on it. They knew it was Gospel and absolutely love the entire CD. Which drew them to church!!! I had to give my last copy to a very popular DJ in our city he wants to rock it in the clubs.......he tells the crowd it is gospel.....and it causes lots of questions.....then folks ask about church in 2008.

There is nothing wrong with Dancing in the house of the living God. However, I must add I have seen 21:03 and JMoss dance and there is simply no power (SPIRIT of Christ) in their dancing. Point blank.
I ordinarily do not like to use youtube as a forum for blog discussions, but I felt that I would chime in on some of these comments. As a lifelong COGIC member for these 30 years, I am familiar with, respect, and appreciate our teachings on holiness and sanctification.
But...What many people are unaware of are the retentions of African pagan culture that exist in Black Pentecostalism which are now viewed as holy traditions such as our preocupation with dance as a method of worship and its seemingly unbiblical connection with being possessed or overtaken by the Holy Spirit.
What may come as a shock to some is the reality that Bishop Mason, the founder was exiled from several churches for not just teaching holiness, but for reintroducing a radical method of worship called dancing and bringing "worldy" instruments into the church such as the drums and tambourines.
I pray that you did not misconstrue my comments. I am actually an advocate of dance as a method of worship. It is very much biblical. One point I was simply trying to make is that one need not somehow to be "overtaken" by the spirit to dance, which is an unspoken but yet implied paradigm in our church. Neither is dance to be elevated above other forms of worship.

He had EVERYBODY praising and worshipping God and forced a lot of young people to stop focusing on him but on God. You all caught the tail end when he ran out of time so decided to give the youth what they kept screaming for. He hit every age group.

I would just like to comment on some of the things that I've been reading concerning this video. Now I must say, I absolutely love J.Moss and the whole Clark-Moss dynasty. However as the wife of a music pastor and praise team leader, it disheartens me how the body of Christ has taken God's word out of context. When the Bible talks about praising Him with the dance, it is a spirit induced praise that is not influenced by the world's standard of what they have believed praise to mean.

I now see why so many COGIC youth are going to nightclubs now. They are tired of the watered down version of the dance floor, they want to see the real thing. Just praise God that you have spiritual discernment and that you understand how this worldliness leads to other entanglements such as the ones that overtook Kirk Franklin. You are very fortunate to have such sound leadership that took the time to explain why we teach against getting caught up in worldly dance and appearances.
i DONT AGREE WITH WORLDLINESS EITHER. However, to link worldly dancing to sexual misconduct is not entirely true and especially in regards to the kirk franklin issue. Kirk Franklin porn addiction started way before he became a national artist. Kirk Franklin said he started when he was about 11. His music/dancing didnt cause him to start dabbling in porn. I know alot of people that are into sexual immorality and they abhor this type of dancing. Every situation is different.
I would say that if Kirk had been more focused on traditional or even contemporary gospel music that did not expose him to worldly producers, parties, and etc., he would have been LESS likely to continue to fall into that type of temptation. He would have been more focused on being delivered from that Lust and less focused on fitting into the environment in which he was earning his living.
And as 4 ppl complaining about the dancing, its amazing to me because wow, Psalms 149:3+Psalms 150:4 (the main 2 verses that make up for this songs lyrical content) say to praise Gods name in the DANCE (hence them dancing from the beginning of the song to the end, maybe? LOL)... Its crystal clear that the ppl who are steady complaining about the dancing know little to NOTHING about the Bible to begin with and thank GOD neither of them hold my salvation or anyone elses for that matter LOL.

I really think when the boys are singing they do well. I just wanna know when it began to be ok for MEN to wear hats in the house of God. We have lost all respect/reverence for the temple that represents his house.And some people know just because of who they are people are not going to ask them to remove it!! Just praise God that you have spiritual discernment and that you understand how this worldliness leads to other entanglements such as the ones that overtook Kirk Franklin. You are very fortunate to have such sound leadership that took the time to explain why we teach against getting caught up in worldly dance and appearances.

i DONT AGREE WITH WORLDLINESS EITHER. However, to link worldly dancing to sexual misconduct is not entirely true and especially in regards to the kirk franklin issue. Kirk Franklin porn addiction started way before he became a national artist. Kirk Franklin said he started when he was about 11. His music/dancing didnt cause him to start dabbling in porn. I know alot of people that are into sexual immorality and they abhor this type of dancing. Every situation is different.

I would say that if Kirk had been more focused on traditional or even contemporary gospel music that did not expose him to worldly producers, parties, and etc., he would have been LESS likely to continue to fall into that type of temptation. He would have been more focused on being delivered from that Lust and less focused on fitting into the environment in which he was earning his living.

And as 4 ppl complaining about the dancing, its amazing to me because wow, Psalms 149:3+Psalms 150:4 (the main 2 verses that make up for this songs lyrical content) say to praise Gods name in the DANCE (hence them dancing from the beginning of the song to the end, maybe? LOL)... Its crystal clear that the ppl who are steady complaining about the dancing know little to NOTHING about the Bible to begin with and thank GOD neither of them hold my salvation or anyone elses for that matter LOL.

I really think when the boys are singing they do well. I just wanna know when it began to be ok for MEN to wear hats in the house of God. We have lost all respect/reverence for the temple that represents his house.And some people know just because of who they are people are not going to ask them to remove it!! So they use it to their advantage!! In other words....that boy in the middle needs to take that hat off! COGIC would have had a fit back in the day! Whats the world coming to?

NO DOUBT..its like woahh, things are getting kinda out of hand, and its hot staying up with the times, but we still gotta be the sanctified COGIC (the greatest in the world) no matter what, and when they came up there and i saw that, hah i felt that fit fo real..and that was rite before i said what midnitehour said to myself lol (so im glad its not only me that feels that way)

His hat is the least thing that the COGIC would have had a fit over. Some people have lost their fear of God and that is why people feel comfortable taking the music, dancing, songs and clothing styles from the world and trying to hand it to the saints.
