  • Bleek !

  • It would have been nice to hear this bus run and idle. I bet it feels really good as well when it is running. :)

  • hah, now chad owns it....

  • When are u going to get your dodge bus?

  • Im looking for a older bus, 30-s 40-s vintage , that I want to put a cab over cab to , similar vintage of corse , Im on fb as russell bradford banks living in Roswell New Mexico great fabrication weather here , see my truck on fb , its named Mad Max . . . am very serious about finding what I need

  • nice rv

  • cool! A pre diesel era bus.

  • @netrioter, Is the AFB a lot better than the Thermo-Quad?

  • Personaly I like the industrial 361,440 is very good though.

  • I had no idea Dodge made busses.

  • It would run so much better if you put a Carter AFB back on it.

  • I remember riding on a '71 Dodge Carpenter bus in Maryland in '78 and early '79 sometimes, It was used as a substitute bus for the '75 International Loadstar 1700 Carpenter bus that I normally rode, It might've had a 440 in it and I remember it had a 5 speed manual tranny as well.

  • high lifvt cam on a bus?!

Not sure thats a good thing as they tend to make them more high revving so u lose low rpm torque.

  • love the 71 dodge buses and the allison automatic with that little shifter handle , rode one of those to school , love the way it shifted .

  • Hello Friend

Me and my friends have a crazy dream like yours converting a school bus into a rv , just wondering how and who you got to insured you

    thanks mike

  • do you need a cdl to drive that

  • As long as it is registered as an RV anything can be driven with a class D license. Most states require you do something to keep it from looking like a school bus, like repaint it and remove the school bus signs (and stop sign etc).

  • I like that Allison trans!

  • Nice...though it seems a little cramped. Might want to try playing around with the layout a bit. Maybe measure the bus and do some drawing?

  • thats sic! how long did it take?

  • Unusual for a gasoline-powered Dodge school bus to have factory air brakes and a factory automatic...this should have had a Diesel engine!

  • nope I had one that was gas driven with air brakes

  • I prefer air brake-equipped vehicles with Diesel engines.

  • and I prefer traditional brakes, kinda scared that the air brakes go out, just like in the movies..hahahah

  • @mikebe41 ...Well thats in the movies friend..... When air brakes lose air they self actuate and the bus will come to a stop and you wont be able to move it again until air pressure can be restored... Its hydralic brakes that will fail completely and afford no BRAKES.... That is why air brakes are on tractor trailers and large vehicles... the brake system is FAIL SAFE.

  • Fire that baby up! I wanna hear it run!

  • Nice bus although I think the layout needs some work.

  • Sweet buS, I bet it is a dream on the road!

IF YOU JUNK THIS BUS YOU ARE SURE TO GO TO HELL!!!! OK maybe not, but its sure to put a dent in your karma:)

  • Blueprinted and balanced 440 with the ole reliable 3/4 race cam LoL its got a hot rod engine worth atleast 3000. What a hoot, I think he wants you to buy it.....

  • Wow, they put a lot of work into that bus! It would be cool if you purchased it! I wasn't aware that Dodge made school buses!

  • That's awesome! a schoolbus converted to a camper. I always thought those were awesome.

  • Nice setup, I bet its a thirsty on the highway though.

  • Looks like a well-done conversion. I like the Volvo convertible at the end of the video, too.

  • yea that would be a nice volvo if i was rebuilt..lol

  • That project is looking exciting.
