Be a joke and told me "to just move out of his spot then." Regrettably I didn't contact the police and instead went down to confront the man myself. When I went down to talk to him I did as you did and remained calm and asked what his problem was. He told me I was a "bitch for taking his parking spot and that I needed to move my fucking piece of shit." He moved the next day, thank god.

I had a shitty neighbor once. I woke up one morning to a guy screaming and hitting something. Looked out my window and noticed he was punching my car and yelling "MOVE YOUR UGLY ASS FUCKING CAR YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" He did this for about 5 minutes. The fact is that we don't know how bad the noise is from camera guy. Its all very well to think badly of the angry guy, but when you have a neighbour who makes unnecessary noise every day and doesn't give any consideration for anybody, it makes life absolute hell. I know, cause I'm having issues with noisy neighbours myself at the moment.

You mentioned he "works" at the Mental Facility where your wife does also, I think he should also be commited!!! I had a neighbor that lived above me n my family, he would pray with the music un-godly loud. I dont know how he could "talk to god" with the music that loud. He was very confrontational!!! He doesn't need to be working at a mental hospital, he needs to be in one! And hopefully you have showed your vids to the police. In the past, there have been bad apples evicted from our neighborhood, it's all just a matter of building a case against them and proper documentation of their obnoxious, outlandish behavior.

If I were on a jury deciding this case I would vote that the party with the camera was not taking reasonable steps to make life easier for everyone. He tended to taunt the angry guy, which is a form of belligerence. This gives me the impression that music is played louder when it will irritate the guy. People don't tend to get that angry for no reason. I like to play my stereo loudly, but I always try to do so when the neighbors are away. And they all like me for some reason. Try it!

The the most enjoyable option would be to take a baseball bat to fatty's skull. However, in the real world that sort of stuff can cause problems ^^. Carry on doing what you're doing, RECORD RECORD RECORD, if you don't get any help from your local police department then maybe you could take it to a lawyer, get a restraining order on the prick.

you know what you should have done with that police officer is "listen Mr Police Man i want you to hear something" and play that audio for him from your video. if you get him on video again maken threats thats what you need to do.....record it and play it for the cop that way he cant go back on anything...thats what i would do.....

last I knew it was against the law to threaten bodily harm on someone, I would suggest going to to the CPD and showing tis recording to the police chief Cal Minor. then file for a restraining order on him. That kind of agressive behavoir is not only against the law but would make for a good headline in the coalinga record if the police refused to take action

Wow! I'm impressed you got that all on video without anyone noticing or commenting. He seemed to calm down alot after the officer got there. I would SO move. I would see if the manager could get you into a different apartment in the complex, that way you wont have to deal with him & if the complaints continue they know it's obviously him with the problem.

@Chelb0215 He he! I used a Camera Watch. And if that fails I have a back up Camera Pen. Yes, there is an apartment avaiable. The manager offered it to him and me. I told the manager that I am unable to due to lack of funds ( As it is now due to me recent cancer treatments, I can barely afford rent). Of course the crazy neighbor turned downt the manager's offere to move. That guy is just plain stupid. He says he stand me and my family (if you listen around the 8:30 mark, you can hear him...

One thing for sure: He should not be cursing you like that. It reflects very badly on him. That said, I see no evidence that he is harassing you because you are an atheist ( I am an atheist too by the way). Instead, my understanding of the video is that he is complaining of you playing music too loud (?). Maybe you could invest in sound-proof material for your apartment so that you can play your music to your heart's content without disturbing him. Or, you can use earphones to listen to music.

@yinstube Thank You! Well, I have always suspected him of harassing me because of my lack of religious beliefs. Over the course of the last year he has been the only one complaining about me AND my next door nieghbors have been banging thier doors and playing their loud music with the windows open and he has walked by thier apartment several time when that has happened and he has never even ONCE called the police on them.

@crumblycake1969 AND over the same period of time until now, there have been numerous time when many nonresidents playing basketball outside our apartments playing until about 1 am every night making very loud screaming and shouting noises. And yet he still has never called the police. He has never called the police nor complained about anyone else who are or still making noises. And I have a police officer who has confirmed that he is harassing becasue I am an atheist.

Thanks for the comment! As of this moment we are doing as you suggested and have compiled the evidence. I have inform the manager and her boss about this. But, the management has offered the "nasty" neighbour reasonable accommodations and he turned it down! As you can see this guy is not to bright.

That's crazy!

I am terribly sorry you're having to deal with this. The neighbors that I was dealing with (who ended up being evicted because of it all) were a piece of work too. There were threats made as well, but it was the videos, pictures, and documentation (we had a spiral notebook full of details...when it started, how long the music played for the purpose of recognizing patterns, and whatnot).

As the officer said, the management needs to deal with it. Present the evidence.
