i posted that last comment before i watched the video.. my mistake. The reason He was disorientated was because he went into Bible college as a head strong Arminian and then he was trying to deal with bible passages talking about salvation 6:39 as a result of God working in his life to will and to do for his pleasure. which is not at all God confusing man, but arminianism being his bible instead of the word of God.

I respect John Piper, he is a brilliant man. But the latter of his message is contradictory to God's word, and proof that most of Calvinism is false. Piper's own word "disorienting". God is NOT the author of confusion.

Calvinism clearly makes God the author of sin rather than man. This blashemy makes God out to be the ultimate sinner, and man a helpless victim - but that is simply not the case.
Man's punishment for sin is based on what he has willingly rejected - not what God caused man to do. Otherwise there is simply no just basis for punishment.

@Jesse859 You believe Jesus saves you from Hell by bearing your sins because the Bible says it. Yet you don't believe scripture that clearly says God chose certain people for salvation (Eph 1: 3-5). How do you know one is true but the other isn't? The only argument that you have is that God looked in the future and saw who would believe and chose them. That can't be true: THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD (Romans 3: 10-12).
