Before KISS impacted our culture, wrestling, NFL, NBA, etc. did not have KISS-like fireworks displays as part of their entertainment. KISS not only raised the bar for live rock and roll they raised the bar for live entertainment in general.

In the Las Vegas version u can see : 1:41 Genes sounds like he Slides hes Guitar... but he doesn't. Here he Slides hes guitar but u can see it just Bad.. smallllllll smalllll spot..

@MRTTMT pretty much around the beginning of 98, wwe started destroying them in the ratings and it didnt change much after that, wcw would win the rare monday night here and there.
Gotta think business my friend, if a company is doing successful, why would the owners sell it?

I think this illustrates the impact KISS made on live performances. Before KISS impacted our culture, wrestling, NFL, NBA, etc. did not have KISS-like fireworks displays as part of their entertainment. KISS not only raised the bar for live rock and roll they raised the bar for live entertainment in general.

holy shit, was i ever EMBARRESSED to be a Kiss fan this day in August 99, imagine what fans felt like when Kiss meets the phantom came out in 78. stuff like this makes us hard core fans look stupid, brainwashed and idiotic. Kiss and wrestling??? shit no wonder peter and ace jumped ship again and had no motivation to continue.

Hey, don't bash wrestling man. People could say the same thing for Kiss fans. You think the WCW fans actually wanted them there that night? This show got the lowest rating ever cause the WWF was beating them in the ratings at this time. Plus, Rock and Wrestling do fit. IT's the reason that Hulk Hogan got so popular back in the 80s, but I agree. Kiss should have never done this, and WCW should of never done it either.

if you watch the rise and fall of wcw, they talk about how it started falling apart in 1999-2000 and how they became desperate to hire kiss. the fact that they paid them less to lipsynch was NOTICED and only made matters worse

Or the Tooth-Tunes commercial that aired on Nickelodean and such back around the release of Kissology Vol. 2. That was f***ing rediculous! I don't think there's anything wrong with KISS playing for Wrestling. it's completely appropriate

Not really, when a band plays on something special like Super Bowl, American Idol, Olympics, TV shows, or anything like that its an honor to do it, cause think about it only certain amount of people can achieve that. And KISS has done every single one of them. Means only one thing they are great at what they do, where ever they do it.
