  • Nice. I'm subbing for future painting vids.

  • This made me cry! No lie I regret EVER giving up my passion for painting over the Internet and video games! Kids if your reading this don't waist your time on Facebook or texting all the time go find something that you love and never stop doing it! I use to be a great painter now I pick up a brush and I can't even make a simple nose!

Thank you SO much for this video no matter the age I'll never give up my passion for art ever again!

  • @evelynolvera thanks for the lovely comments ..... all of you! ......... never give up .... if it gets tiresome .... change it ....... it has to be a pleasure

  • Comment removed

  • @SimbaWM no, thank you! ..... responses to my work, such as yours, keep me going it always gives me a warm feeling in my guts to know that by doing something i love doing makes other people feel good too.

you don't need classes, you have a passion ..... just do what makes you feel good .... i stopped listening to people, telling me how it should be done, yeas ago.

stop looking for stuff and, start looking at stuff

  • Hey Gordon. Man I can't tell you how inspirational your paintings are. I checked out the other video you posted which has a compilation of all your paintings. What kind of paint do you use? I noticed you apply thick strokes...just curious if you add something to the paint to thicken it?

  • @shalukuttan hi ...thanks for the comments .....it's people like you that keep me going ...... i always use oil paints ... i'm a sculptor mainly and i find i can sculpt with the paint .... to me, the texture is as important as the image

  • @gorgeousgordon I noticed that the last part of the painting (the guy all the way to the left), the paint was still wet even after you finished the whole image. Did you add a retarder to the paint to make it last longer?

  • @shalukuttan no .... oil paint stays workable even after a few days .....the guy on the left is me ....so is the guy on the right .... the lady in the middle is my wife

  • it made me feel like i was meditating when I watched it...this is a good thing....i dig it....hey did you know that "all actions of all bodies are always under the control of Mind which caused them. Bodies have no power to move through their own initiative, for they have no energy or initiative of their own. Initiative is extended to bodies by the universal Mind which controls them. That what we assume to be life is but motion multiplying its pressures to simulate the Idea of life. :))

  • @GowansMike ... blimey!

  • Sick Drum and Bass!!!

  • While cruising through I happened on your vid...Inspirational ...it's one of those moment where you say " why didn't I think of that" ..brain functions seperate the most of us into their own creative niche..I must say you have yours dead on!!

  • thank you.

i don't call it anything ........ i just do it.

you painted without a sketch underneathe. talent.

  • thank you for your kind comments.

i checked out your profile, to see if i could learn a thing or two from your work .... but bugger me it was empty!

get back to me when you develop a sense of humour and can see a joke for what it is.

  • Haha. "bugger me it was empty!", pretty typical for assholes who have such "interesting" opinions yet nothing to prove their apparent "expertee".

  • "Why the copying from photographs"? You're a twit. Move along.

  • "Copying from photographs"?!!?Maybe all 3 models weren't able to be there, maybe thats what he prefers. Many artists like to be able to paint at 3am or WHENEVER they feel like it, BTW (figured you'd like that better) the camera is a handy tool and avoids scheduling conflicts maybe you've heard of it.Also what the hell does.... "not very masterly" mean anyway??It is far more difficult to paint with "that pallette knife thing", (which I assume you meant palette knife) than a brush.Paint much??

  • Dude, have you ever heard of the term PHOTOREALISM?

  • A master at work!
