Catchy lyrics, infectious tune, and a musical style that was only hinted at in previous years, came through loud and clear in this song. That musical style was later called 'firehouse Jazz' and it starts at 01:37.
Spike Jones' original version is better than the one they used in the Disney cartoon. What I'd really like to see is the cartoon with this song as its sound track. That would be waaaaay cool.

The planned title for the cartoon was Donald Duck in Nutziland but was renamed to the title of the song after Spike Jones recorded the hit record.

My teacher always said "you can learn about history but remember there are ALWAYS 2 point of views. We mostly learn about what the victors wrote." But that does not mean everything is wrong or right. It means somethings might be false or exagerated. Try to think sometimes it might get you further.

Before Spike formed the band, He and most everybody else, were dance band musicians. They'd all meet up at an after-hours club and play and unwind and cut up. Eventually they had enough material to put on a few shows, but it was this song that threw them into the national spot light.
Catchy lyrics, infectious tune, and a musical style that was only hinted at in previous years, came through loud and clear in this song. That musical style was later called 'firehouse Jazz' and it starts at 01:37.

Spike Jones' original version is better than the one they used in the Disney cartoon. What I'd really like to see is the cartoon with this song as its sound track. That would be waaaaay cool.
