@Misel982001 Agreed! If they at least doubled the levels, put in different end of level bosses and up'd the presentation could have been a full price release
Thanks for the shoutout mate, that was most unexpected! This is probably my favourite Hanna-Barbera game on the ZX Spectrum along with Ruff and Ready. Nice graphics here but what a shame they used the game over music as title music.
@Otouto72K yeah,I watched your video of Ruff n Reddy after posting this last comment and it was like Id read your mind or summat! Hell I only had the demo but it didnt matter! Didnt need to buy the full game as I couldnt even finish the Demo! God Only knows I tried lol. Still a cracking game though. Im imagining £3.99 back in the day, Hanna barbera Games were usually cheap and cheerful.
Never played this one, although like you say, nice colourful graphics and smooth scrolling. Also really nice to have a sub-game built into a budget title like this. Nice. I remember spending half my childhood getting totally lost dipping in and out of random caves on Yogi Bear!
I remember this last wave of Hi-tec games all featuring HB licences and on a budget label being released quite late in the CPC/Speccy's life, the programming seems quite competent but the games seemed to be targeted at children. I think I bought the Top-Cat game and remember Potsworth & Co being slightly more expensive.
@TheRetroArchive I don't think I ever bought any cartoon based Hi-Tec games, there were tons of them! I think mostly because Hanna Barbera cartoons were never on in my house
I remember in the early 1990s the magazines being targeted more at the eight year old approx, with the style and content being that of a comic with cheap thin paper. In the 1980s the magazines were aimed more at the casual gamers and serious users, so the content was more varied and intelligent.
@Xyphoe Potsworth is a brilliant game , real impressive look forward to it, I'm only on level 2 And love the different characters in it, with different skills.
Nice one. Got me to think of Bravestarr for some reason.

Αlthough it is a budget game, it sure doesnt look like a budget game. It plays very well and it is colorful and entertaining. I like it! 7/10!

@Xyphoe do you collect amstrad games?I remember what you've told me about Xyphoes Fantasy. Also, Mega twins, is it rare too?
Misel982001 4 weeks ago
Those games were so similar, you could put any sprite in there, the connection to the cartoons was so loose.

@squirm13 Looks like most of them were scrolling platformers yea, a few odd exceptions like this one it seems

@foubrat777 A quick search reveals there was 3 Yogi Bear games for the Amstrad!

I've never seen the cartoon but from the looks this game, Quick Draw Mcgraw is a mass murdering cowboy horse lol.
Pretty impressive graphics and smooth scrolling for a £3 Amstrad game though.
