  • @RPGAssassin2291 I think you were right 1st time - it's awesome. Especially when you think that at the time of it's conception synth's and digital media were in their infancy, and a home computer meant a commodore PET with a maximum of 96kb memory!

  • And playin on my skateboard with my mate. (When skateboards were 1st out)

  • It reminds me of coming home from school and watching RentAGhost!

  • I've just spent an hour trying to remember the name of this track. Thank you, YT! It can now sit alongside Space: Magic Fly, Black Betty by Ram Jam and Oxygene Pt. 2 as 70s classics.

  • What a load of CRAP, it was crap when my wife bought it when it was new but it,s even worse than I remember !!!!

  • We used this as a dance number with Michael Matou *Dr. Mufti & the Orphic Sybils* circa 1986

  • Oh god, I love the crunch. I used to dance round the living room to this. Perhaps I still should.

  • A fab track, loved it years ago and still love it now x

  • I vividly remember this on TOTP! Also, spot the influence on Godfrapp's "Strict Machine"?

  • @NoisyMaff Good grief yeah! Now I'm going to have a listen to that one!!

  • @nutster9000 each to his own.

  • oh my god ... so many great memories connected to this music :)

  • I remember on 70's Saturday nights BBC tv they used this in the 'Whats on later this evening on BBC1'

  • As a kid, I remember seeing a New Year's Eve 1977 trailer for Dr Who, The Robots of Death with Tom Baker, a special episodes-compiled-together one-off thing....and this was the trailer music, lol ! Anyone else recall that one?

  • Sounds like the beginning of a kids TV show!

  • Used to be me favourite song of all time

  • always liked side 2, the crunch part 2 better, its just that bit of vocalisation, didnt get it when i got the best of the rah band either, it seems to have been overlooked by everybody :O(

  • I just love this song but kinda missed it as a kid.

I was probably behind the bike sheds enjoying a quick ciggy, or down the pub after school enjoying a cheap pint myself LoL !

  • Makes you wonder who inspired Orbital's music and Altern-8's dress sense ;o)

  • @mrordinaryuk Awwww thanks Tony Blackburn, couldnt remember this at all, but sounds up to date & totally agree with you about Orbital, this could have been the B side to their Style single - would have been a perfect cover!

  • @nutster9000 Never thought of that one! Yes "Style" on one side and this on the other!! Great choice.

  • @mrordinaryuk Makes me think the Rah Band's producer should sue Goldfrapp!

  • Classic, and I missed them on TOTP when I was a bairn, this guy was Smart !!!!!!

  • kick ass! thanks

  • something tells me goldfrapp are a fan!

  • July 1977, when beer was 28p a pint, fags were 80p for twenty, and you could do a weekend on a tenner.

Why do we have to grow old?

  • @jonkheere1

fags were only about 50p then. Its when I took up smoking.

  • @jonkheere 1 I was only 12 but it was crisps for 2p and a bottle of Irn Bru for 5p..My first pint cost me 90p in 1986. Jings.

  • @jonkheere1 …but it was Watney's Red Barrel. That does not count as beer! Wonderful track! Barking mad :-{)

  • @NCW250

Hi Mate, I suppose at that time 28p a barrel was asking too much?(ha ha!)

  • @jonkheere1 totally agree mate, but we can come on here, put this on and in our minds be jumping into our RS2000 with our lumberjack jackets on to pop down the pub and have night out for a tenner!

  • @jonkheere1 28p??? Where's that bloody time machine?!

  • @bvivers

Wish I remembered who I lent it to mate,Could be doing with it now!
