  • .....I just fell in love!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • No, this cannot be real! That voice is not coming out of an 80 year old woman! I have never heard such pure high notes past 65! Whoever is dubbing this, is following Cook around to every venue on video. I go from clip to clip to clip but that beautiful voice is unchanged. Cook is unnatural, but unnatural like an angel.

  • 45 years later she can still hit that note effortlessly. Wow.

  • Barbara Cook is the most honest, transparent singer with the best technique of any singer today. Very few singers can come close to her. Studying her should be required for any singing student - Classical, Broadway, Pop, Gospel, Rock.

  • Wonderful! Her voice is so smooth and strangely calming!

  • In honor of the 125th anniversary of the first time ice cream was commercially sold and right here in NYC!

  • 4 people have lives.

  • @Sastwaf wow, what a dick.

  • absolutely wonderful rendition of the piece. She is a fantastic performer and a joy to watch.

  • Barbara Cook - 2 of Musical Theatre's most wonderful words!

  • Fantastic.

  • My chorus teacher sang this in class and it was HIGH-LARIOUS. (: love the song.

  • how funny, on the list at the right, it said "barbara Cook - Vanilla Ice" and for a moment i didn't see the "cream" on the next line, and thought she was singing WITH vanilla ice! i thought, "well THAT's an odd pairing".

but this is a great song, and i love her voice.

  • A living legend. When Barbara's done singing a song, you've absorbed a lifetime's worth of silliness, wonder, fear, love... every word is its own chapter, every song a story. Barbara Cook sells it like no other. Thanks a million for posting. Time for some vanilla ice cream! ;)

  • As much as I love Ruthie Henshall, this is the most awesome version of this song I can find. And yeah, biological miracle that she can still do this at 82.

  • This was Melbourne in '96 and Barbara was then 69, it's still quite amazing. She is just wonderful.

  • wow this is AMAZING@!

  • Oh god I am in heaven when she sings. I wish she would some to London again. Thank you for this. XXX

  • Still the first and best rendition of this delightful song! She still has a flawless, rich voice. Thanks for posting!

  • How is that possible??? What a pair of vocal cords!

  • Just Incredible.

  • Wooow a biological miracle!

  • it is like, so not possible for someone to be 82 and still be able to sing like THAT!!!!!!!!! wow! ;)

  • Bravo!

  • it is absolutely amazing that she still has her voice at 82. god bless her. she is the best!!

  • @jgraif

    yes

  • im seeing her tonight in chicagooooo

  • I am so jealous of you. I hope she comes back this summer to the ravinia

  • dang!

  • I adore this song. And wow, she's getting old, but she sounds just the same!!!

  • an extraordinary talent and living treasure! bravo, ms. cook!!!

  • how does she sing like that with no seeming effort???

  • is that wally harper?

  • YES IT IS

  • Thanks! Thought I recognised him!

  • True, cb -- they both go with everything

  • I was lucky enough to have seen her in She Loves Me in the original Broadway run. She's truly amazing-her Cunegonde has never been equalled.

  • i´m really impressed by the the amount of people who watched all the shows that i would had to see: She loves me, candide, a chorus line, gypsy, funny girl, company... i´m just a victim of my time and my place

  • There is no-one who can compare to her at her age. AMAZING...............Long live the diva!!

  • My favorites, vanilla and Barbara Cook.
