  • I love your Interior so much!!!! how come you need to press the pedel to the floor when starting it? mine just turns on with the turn of the key no throttle needed

  • @aaronpourazar Had to press the pedal because engine had very little compression after previous owner drove it for hours without coolant....

  • @kiarra00 Question are you still driving this car around after 4 years of this video. Is it possible you can sell me some parts from Europe like a Km/h speedometer

  • @aaronpourazar I drive and have many w123 cars, but this one was used as part scar and scrapped after this video. I don't send parts. Sorry about that...

  • Forgot your keys there, have ya?

  • @zippeduniform3 the previous owner broke the key in the ignition.

  • A dude in Norway tuned one of these with a turbo from a Scania 9 liter... Tried it on the dragstrip and it smoked a BMW M3' and a Mustang Boss...

  • @KapteinOpel

send me the vid plz those 240 are monsters they never die phh

  • @djxboy I cant find any video, read it in s magazine.

  • 78 HORSEPOWER HOT DAMN! :P

  • Mein panzer ist wunderkrafte

  • Can i have the seats? :)

  • after how many km does a 240 diesel engine need restoration?400000km?and what's the price for full engine restoration?

  • @mddaredevil you mean service or over haul? a Mercedes diesel engine can go 1 000 000 kms without overhaul easy, only if you can maintain it.. my 240D -83 has only done 336000 kms and is fine as hell!

  • What a pile

  • @tommysbrowncaddy Yes it is a pile, I would much rather be driving my pink cadillac with the 5,7 diesel, it's SOOO reliable. it's only been rebuilt 20 times after 20K miles, that's great!

  • @kiarra00 Oh I know right! They're awesome! :)

  • @tommysbrowncaddy yeah! who wants a car that works!? no everyone should be like americans and drive cars that you spent all too much money on! Tommy is good example of what car to drive! Everyone just burn you money instead!

  • @coolakiIlen007 There's a brand of car called Tommy???!!! What? SWEET!

  • @tommysbrowncaddy yeah if Tommy the car could give examples of cars to drive then yes. i think its no good though, if its american it would be rubbish you agree yes? yeah i thought so ..

  • That car is on godmode

  • if you restore the car no longer want, it's ok

  • shoulda turned up the fuel adjustment first...

  • Why do the Europeans have such a facination w/Olds-GM Diesels. Each and every one was junk. Could they be replacing the GM plant w/MBZ 617 motors? Cool post nothing like watching good old fasioned fun.

  • That's cool, the last video of an old original german taxi :-)

Actually I am searching for a W123 estate taxi in good condition but they are so difficult to find :-(

  • what was that knob you turned at 0:52? Ive always wondered what that was for.

  • it's the idle speed adjustment

  • not as tough as a cummins 6bt! but close ;)

  • started damn good for bad rings

  • you should just rebuild it and use it...

  • 0:28 - Is the speedometer in miles or kilometres?

  • km, i see the speedo goes over 140

  • Hillbillies.

  • Wow for having a cracked cylinder head and broken rings it sure sounds good. Freaking Mercedes diesels, the toughest engines ever, anywhere, period.

  • alle 240er lassen sich auf der straße knacken,

  • WUNDERBAR!

  • i love the sound of the disel engine!

  • Thats just a waste of a good car and engine

  • haha nice dude!

  • cant ruin anything on these cars. lol. but if you do, its expensive.

  • ya i remembered right before i posted its a automatic.

anyways euro models look so much better than the american models

  • I'd like to get the headlights and bumpers before its junked (guess its too late) is it a 5 speed?

  • the info says its automatic

  • engine dont sound that bad plus that engine is solid as a rock my old man used to have the 300d version and it went on to some what 380,000 miles and was still running like a watch when he sold it its an incredible machine and a german marvel. Im not angry that you are having fun in 1 im actually impressed that its still running after a beating its had.

  • you are killing a good gearbox

  • This old Benz will run forever.

  • Ouch. Despite the shape that you got her in, you are making my little 220D weep. How about a follow up when you save one? :)

  • taxi version

  • Man nice burout but the car looks like you hyjack it from down the block

  • I love that engine.

  • Hmm, can you explain why this does not look like a car hyjack or I suppose the key was takin away from you to keep you from doing what your doing now? ROFLMAO Cough cough, you like the smell? LOL Thanks lol for lol sharing lol

    Peace :)

  • The key broke inside the lock, that's why we have to use the screwdriver. lol

And if i was going to hijack a car, i would have taken something faster and cooler than an old Mercedes diesel with a broken engine!

    Thanks for your comment man!

  • @kiarra00 There's nothing cooler than n old 240D :D

  • what does the little knob you turned on the dash do?

  • It's the idleing speed adjuster, to make the engine idle when it's cold.

  • surprising that one works, a lot have stopped functioning by now

  • that looked like fun !!

  • heck it runs still why not have some fun with it
