very cute :)... i have a question, my choc lab is 2 years old but she still has a tendency to chew things like the couch and my hands when she snuggled up with me (not hard doesent hurt) she did this when she was younger i did epect this but as shes gotten olderi thought she would grow outof it? i dont think its restlesness because is let of the lead for a run about 3 times a day an hour each time. so if anyone could answer my question would be greatley appreciated

@billy6668 I could be wrong but when dogs usually chew furniture and stuff it's usually a sign of boredom. Animals usually tend to nibble on their owners as a sign of affection and to show you they know you're the boss.

My chocolate lab has got to be the best dog I've ever owned. He's more loyal than anyone or thing that I've ever known, and does what I tell him to. Every day when I leave the house he comes to the door and lays down and I'm sure he moves but never fails to be right there when I get home. He's almost 8 now and I really hope he lives a long life.

@manohordijk Nonsence! i have two of them! A two year old Black lab, Named Raven, a Female lab Named Coco! shes a brown one, and their wonderful dogs. There not hyper, only when there puppys. if you get them fixed, there great dogs! Chocolats are rare, black are ussaly the champions on beuty contestes, and Yellow for Police. There Reall awesome dogs. I suggest you get one. Also, There Water Dogs, So they will like to go to lakes and that. Trust me, im a Dog peroson.

@RainStarWarriorCat i've fallen completely in love with golden retrievers:) just a bit more beautiful than labs, in my opinion!:D i'll definitely want one in the future, gotta finish my study and get my own place where dogs are aloud:) thanks for the information. Im a bit worried about the 'liking the water' though, in holland we dont have much 'clean' public water.. well take care, say hi to Raven and Coco for me, i bet i'd love them if we met :D

@manohordijk ...i don't think they smell. no dogs smell really x] only when they're pretty dirty or have been swimming in like a lake or something i think. then they smell like wet dog...haha :D but if you get one, or any dog just keep him/her clean and they shouldn't smell too bad ^-^

Well, labs have an unusual smell anyway; since they're water dogs, they have a special oil that coats their fur so they don't get waterlogged. It's the reason your hand feels oily after petting an adult Lab. :P

Though MY labs smell because they spend every weekend in an algae-ridden pond.

Hmm...maybe it's the difference between the show breed and the hunting breed? Now that I think about it, my show-breed line Lab (we didn't get her for that purpose, it just happened) doesn't have th oily fur. She does smell, but she's 14 years old.

My hunting breed Lab, however, has the oily fur and the strange musty smell.

It's curious. Either way, Labs are awesome dogs. I hope to get one of my own when I get my own place. Maybe a yellow one, to round out the family. :P

@manohordijk any dog will need attention and some time. In my opinion, though, Labs seem easier to train so your time will be well spent. I'm not a trainer or anything thought so don't quote me.. just tellin' ya what I think.

My choc lab(called twiglet) is 8 years old and still plays like this. She is an equal in our family and has enhanced all our lives!

She destroyed my new house when we moved in 7 years ago (ate lumps of plaster out of the walls and the wood skirting) but once she grew up(at about 3 years old) she calmed down. Loved watching your pup, she brings back all those fab memories, Have fun with her and my advice is to train her well XXX

i bought my black lab dexter with my first ever pay wages, i was 16, i walk him, feed him pay for all his vets bills and he follows me everywhere even tries to come into the bathroom with me haha labs are a lovely breed =] , very loyal and loving and great with children, my dog will do anything for a tennis all haha

Yes I have a St.Bernard/American Bulldog mix...he's 2 and so cute! I really want to get a lab puppy...either yellow or chocolate! I've always wanted one...SO cute! I keep hearing choc. labs are more hyper? Do you think that's true? I find it odd that "color" changes much?!

Aw St. Bernards are cute. There's two up the road from me. So if he's a mix, how big is he? St Bernards are big dogs but dont know about American Bull Dogs. I have both, and i think the Choc lab is more hyper, but not sure. It's been a while, lol.

Well my model is the HDR-SR12e which i'm very impressed with. It does full 1080 HD resolution, and captures life-like colours that can be edited in post (like i have donw tih this clip) It's a very good camcorder. Look it up, it's about 650.00 on amazon which is good cause since i bought mine it's come down about 60 pound or so
