Not to speak ill of your demonstration and with all respect to you, but did you really have to have that creepy B rated horror movie music in the back ground? LoL!
I admire both your willingness to learn this, and your seeming comfort with the process... obviously it might be a bit different with a cadaver, but I still appreciate your efforts. This is one of the sadder things a nurse has to do.
To sonnyfly The time of death is always recorded in a controlled environment (hospital, home etc. this is probably a legal matter,Did you notice the info when she put on the toe tag, plus a written record. with the same info this helps prevent mixups In a death you can never have enough info. @llew777 Very true, especially in a 1,000 bed hospital where many people can die per day. The morgue can be chocked full of bodies awaiting postmortems, very embarassing to release the wrong body to a funeral home, not to mention the effect this can have on the family. Where I work we don't tie the chin up anymore per funeral home request's as it leaves indentations on the face and jaw. We also have false gurneys where the bodies lays on the bottom and there is a false top to make it look empty.
She sucks!!!!!..........

In my STNA career this was a duty I dreaded. In 12 years I did post mortem care at lease 50+ times.

Nurses haven't worn those uniforms for years. I know, because my mother was a nurse and this was her outfit.

@sonnyfly I don't get it .. what does the time of death have anything to do with the nurse washing the body? Why would the time change?
