we looked them as a nice and friendly guys,,, but, they sure is a fearsome sailor... this ship alone was a legendary ship here in Indonesia, able to withstand the rage of the wild ocean...

knowing the journey of the ship makes me tear my eyes...

its a great achievement for a medium size tall ship to circle around the world

with so many obstacles, even the somalian sea of pirates alone...

@indonesiarayas2 I know... I have read the hitory of the ship..! And i know what Kri Dewaruci means..! I am very proud of meeting these people..! These pirates!!!

But they are also my friends! And i am thankful that these, strong, fearsome, and brave sailors, who are able,as you say, to withstand the rage of the wild ocean , are my family..!

@elpidakiv the sad thing is, she will be replaced... the ship is now in Surabaya City and waiting for it retirement... she will never face the open sea again... she will only serve for domestic duty for education onside the country... the new ship are said to be larger than the first... but it will never be the same...

@elpidakiv Im also sad, i was there when i am 5th year old, no picture memories though. The Navy High-ups said that she's already old and there are some difficulties, even a major repair might not fix her entirely (but she still can serve domestic mission). every ship has its age i suppose. they realize that its a hard decision but in order to serve globally, she has to be able to face the open sea and guarantee the safety of the sailor aboard wich she cant because she's getting old...

the new replacement has been built in germany they said... until it finished, this pirate ship will still be in the open sea... the captain of the ship said they will sail this mighty till it cant sail anymore,, i doubt that,, but im hoping it will be true...

hehehe im commenting this video 11 month after you upload it,, i guess it brought back some memories right?

@indonesiarayas2 It was one of the most inportant time of my life..! One of the best experiences.. An experience who changed my life.. You didn't bring some memories back.. Because i never left them gone.. I am seing this and some other videos i have, and the photos i have every single day... I miss them so much.. I have a very good contact with my friends there... Oh... I cry now... :( Are yoi a sailor? Do you have facebook?

@elpidakiv nope, im not a sailor,, just a dreamy little boy and a military enthusiast...

i was five when i got aboard dewaruci and thats it.... i never thought about it so many years

until i watched again the clip of the talkshow at tv... some years ago...

and never got a chance to go back and regain my memories there...

Haha ... I love it, I saw the ships and the crew in Varna, all of them were so nice , especially from Dewarucci and Shabab Oman :))
