  • Isso é raridade hein mano ! Vlw mesmo

  • Thank u so very much for posting. I have searched for 25 years to hear this particular song again. Especially because BoB's voice is soothing, serene and so talking to my SOUL.

  • Modde67 , To help you realise the Genius and diversity of Bob Marley and the Wailers , i suggest you listen to the song again especialy and you will feel the Irie(aura) of Bob marley's voice in this beautiful song. i suggest you listen rather than only hear the key signature harmony in Bobs voice paricularly around 0:46 of this song post back if you doubt any further and i will give you another endemic characteristic of his music.

  • Incredible....thanks for posting.

  • Essa música é bem velha, a mãe do Bob estava ralando nos EUA enquanto o Bob morava de favor na casa de parentes na Jamaica.

  • yes it is bob with the original wailers

  • my friend i can promise this is bob. i have this version in his deluxe 4cd catalog. the first cd features the baby bob, u know... when he kept his hair cut

  • Sorry but i´m sure that this its not Bob Marley ! But the song is nice!

  • @Modde67 Bob with Peter and Bunny

  • one of the very few the songs that actually moved me to tears to all the motherless children keep your head up and to all those children who have a mother show her you appreciate her and love her everyday while you can

  • LOVE

  • Nothing beats the original Wailers. Pure harmony! Bless.

  • wow I love this song it turned into my favorite song the 3rd time I heard it good the voice is deep and the music accomodates it, so it can reach the soul....Bob was truely devoted to his talent thats why he has only a few u can compare him with.

  • tis bob on main vocals, bunny (beutifully) sings backup and solo, tosh im guessing on guitar. bob is singing low and seaminglessly jumps to high part and back again. this is notable on many early tracks. white christmas is a good example. just to hear these men? makes living worth while!

  • @robdland White Christmas is my favorite Christmas song ever. Bobs version of it is pure genius.

  • love the song very much.. makes me cry

  • where did you get that information from? that is completely incorrect. Bob's father was a white Jamaican named Norval Marley (who he only met about twice in his whole life). Neville was like his grandfather or like his uncle.

  • Wo?im microfaser cleaanen bau mit qvc tv und EINSAMKEIT,Ich kann es nicht mehr ändern, brauche meine Kraft für mich und meine Familie und meine Ziele,Iam talking about a REVOLUTION..............

  • The Wailers originally comprised of Robert Nesta Marley, Neville Bunny Livingston, Hubert Tosh McIntosh, Junior Braithwaite and two female backing vocalists.

  • The two backing vocalist were Beverley Kelso, and Cherry Smith. The comment by mx2600 below is correct. Recorded late 1965.

  • QUIERO LLORAR

  • wow!!!!!! amaizing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Peter, Bunny Bob ... The ORIGINAL Wailin' Wailers!! BESS POST!! BLESSS!!!!

  • Great Song. Me luv ' t

  • God Bless You On this One Man

  • Such a beautiful song.

    Bless

  • Who did the lead on this song? I can hear Bod at 0:47

  • thats bunny singing lead

  • A truly deep song, it reaches to the bottom of the soul and cuts through the heart with a sad but loving warmth.

  • perfection

  • I have this single on an original wail'n soul'm label 7" single and this track here is actually the original one. It's not a demo.

The other side of this single is the original version of "Stir it up".

  • Thanks for the info! I have updated the video name and description.

  • If you know the year let me know and I will add the info.

  • It's the acoustic version of "Where is my mother", where Bob Marley is at the lead vocals and at the guitar. At the harmonies it's Beverley Kelso. There's another version with bass and drums.

This song was written by Bob Marley in late 1965.

Soon after Bob met his mother in the USA.

  • you mean the Rocksteady version of Stir It Up?

  • acidrootblues once again made my day with this one!!!!!!

  • sooo beautiful

  • timeless...

  • wow. We all love you Bob and the feelings you bring us.

    Love My Mother.

She became tired of that I'm going to be great

She did everything just to see me best.

    Thanks to her

  • Another nice sound from your archives.

  • W.W.B.M.D

    What Would Bob Marley Do

  • Bob sings clearly in 0:46.

I can't hear Peter on main vocal. Maybe its Braithwaite or Kelso.

  • I believe it is all three of them. All singing backups, main vocals, and high in rotation. beautiful song.

  • (L)(L)(L)(L)(L)(L)

¡ i've never thought i could find this versions!

    i love them

  • I'm pretty sure that's Bob Marley singing Lead and someone else singing back up. But bob uses two different voices in the song. He rarely used the main style voice but earlier wailer songs sound similar.

  • I dont know but just guessing... Peter Tosh is doin the main vocals, the highs notes are bunny wailer, and bob is doin the backup vocals... beautiful song btw

  • I think you are right here. It is such a rich sound and magical blending of harmonies.

  • @timmy2X4 one of the rare times bob sang harmony

  • Yeah !

    Love Bob Eternal !

    _|_

  • Bunny is taking the falsetto harmony, Bob is singing the lead vocals.

  • As far as I could tell Bob Marley is singing the high part.

  • Who is singing the main vocals?

  • I was hoping someone would have more information on who is singing.

  • yes its bob marley singing all the way, the song its a story of how bob was separeted from his mother in various tages of his life, bunny sings to at the end....

  • ur right its bob the whole time, along with his backup singer
