  • so i'm gong for eye surgery, though i'd you tube what there doin to me ....first 30 seconds was white meat with a butchers knife..... fuck i hate KFC adds

  • No your 15 your still growing so you cant get it you have to wait when your eyesite goes stable

  • Does it hurt or have any effect like that? Im 15 and have bad eye vision and im fed up of glasses! :)

  • I'm blind as heck , and I'm only 15. I don't have the money for this. I'm going to be fully blind when I'm 20. I've wanted to be an artist since I could talk. Since I can't see my art , there's no point.

  • I'm in, Budlight

  • This is wrong. This shows parallel rays going through all places on the lens focusing on the the retina. That's the focal point and not the image location. The image forms behind the focal point.

  • @angelliki1994 it usually takes up to 2 and a half hours. It doesn't hurt at all but u feel discomfort in some places. You will see during this procedure but the Opthamologist will hydrate your eye so there's no uncomfortable dry-eye feeling. Hope this helps!

  • There are no risk in choosing not to have the surgery? That's too damn confusing -_-

  • why am i looking st this -.-

  • There are also no risks in choosing not to crash your car into a tree.

  • eyeballs to you

  • i tried it, it won't hurts for long time.

  • 555555555+

  • what about the pain???

    how long does it take?

    :) plzzz answer!!!!

do you see during this procedure???

  • beware. I had laser vision correction and it ruined my life. Don't take the risk with one of the most important senses you have.

  • @EliteDefenseInc Why? And how did it ruin your life? I mean did your eyes become so clear that you could finally see that big fat shreck face looking back at you in the mirror?

Or did you finally see that you're a guy and not a girl lol

  • @vexviper funny stuff. I glad you think it funny that my eyes were injured by this procedure. Yup. It funny that I lost my career. Yup. I can see humor in it. Let put it this way. I am at the point that if you said this to me face to face I would kill you. You are the kind of person that makes the world fucking suck.

  • @EliteDefenseInc Sounds like you just have issues with the world. So explain to us tubers what happend. Did the surgen drink too much coffee before the procdure lol

  • @vexviper Laugh it up. What kind a fucking sick fucker think it funny that another lost everything to a surgical procedure? Seriously wtf is wrong with you? Is your life so fucking pathetic that you take pleasure in others pain?

  • @EliteDefenseInc Shoot me in the face ha? How are you even going to shoot me in the face if you can't see? I would hate to see your toilet seat lol

  • @vexviper karma's a bitch kid. You live long enough and it will bite you in the ass. You got issues that are clearly apparent. You find pleasure in others suffering. The world will surely pay you back for the misery you put out. Have fun.

  • @EliteDefenseInc Obviously karma missed your ass and bit you in the face lol And I am having fun :) So, when you quit feeling sorry for yourself start telling us what happend.

  • @vexviper go fuck yourself. I hope you break your fucking neck and then I can joke around about that. I'm sure you'll find it funny. You disgust me. You are exactly why the world sucks.

  • @EliteDefenseInc I will and I do, it's called masterbation. But enough about me let's get back to you. I don't think you had any kind of surgery to your eyes and I think you posted that crap to just get attention; I think you’re just lonely! And this is the reason why you won’t post what happened to you. I’ve asked you several times to post what happened and you won’t! you know why? I’ll tell you why, because you are a disgusting fat body and I’m going to start calling you Pile!

  • @vexviper you got issue kid. Don't blame me. I would of opted for the abortion option with you.

  • @EliteDefenseInc Ouch! That hurt! At least we have something in common, we both hate liberals and due to Obama care if it passes and it probably will in the private back room, we will no longer have the freedom to choose the option to have your eyes improved because it will be considered unnecessary unless of course your eyes are needed for government use. Thanks for giving me a laugh I had fun fucking with you and quit taking it personal I was just messing around with you I didn’t mean it.

  • @vexviper Why are you picking on some dude that lost his career becuz of a surgery? Do you get bullied and take it out on people on youtube? Or are you out of school with no job and nothing better to do than insult people on the internet? Please stop

  • @EliteDefenseInc Where you blinded by laser vision correction? :(

  • @MEareCAT Not blinded. My night vision was ruined. I see massive halos and starburts around all light at night. I was in the military and my career was ruined by this. The surgeon never warned me that having large pupils is a serious risk to night vision. I also suffered from severe dry eyes. MY eye lids get stuck to my eye balls in the morning. This causes tearing which hurts like hell. It been over two years and I still have serious eye issues. Laser vision surgery has serious risks.

  • Only problem....MONEY!

  • "no risks choosing not to have surgery"

this is you, this is the obvious, this is you stating the obvious

  • @patricia3288 I don't think age matters too much, just conditions of the eye and what-not.

  • PreOpcom should learn how to spell ophthalmology before they educate someone on eye care.

  • i would really like to have an eye surgery for my bad vision. i feel it seems so impersonal to talk to people while having glasses on. its like a wall between the people speaking.

  • Would a True actual Doctor say do this

  • @Films4You I'm pretty sure they are actual doctors. They're just using the internet to be helpful.

  • but the thing is your cornea will never heal.

  • Today the most advanced treatments for myopia include lenses, eye glasses, exercises (which efficacy has not be proven) and Prk /Lasik.However all those treatments don't treat the problem( the eye ball)rather they even damage corneal tissues and have side effects such as halos and dry eyes Is there any Research going on that focuses how to get the eye in normal shape?such as genetic therapy or others?People don't talk about it but all those treatment shouldn't be consider as the bests and modern

  • @max10wonderboy Genetic treatments only work on our offspring, while it might be fruitful to look into, most people just want a cure for themselves.

  • @NasosTheGreat if your in the military the eye surgery is free

  • @NasosTheGreat yea you have to be but it doesnt hurt at all

  • yeah

  • HOW MUCH IT COST??

  • Modern excimer Laser surface ablations are totally painless during the procedure as well as in the follow ups. However the vision will recover fully in 3 to 4 days, unlike Lasik where it is few hours. However it is a boon for those with thinner corneas & aberrations.

  • I hope I can get this answered as soon as possible, because I would be meeting with my optometrist in about a month on PRK and Lasik, procedure and risk wise.

I know he'd avoid telling me the CORRECT risks, so I'm here to impose the question on to you guys:

    1) Which is safer? They say 95% of Lasik surgeries comes out perfect. What about PRK?

    2) Which operation has the LEAST amount of risks?

  • ya know, i had to get laser surgery for retninal problems...but before that, that had to inject a needle in my eye. IT WAS PAINFUL AS FUCK!!!! KEPT IT IN THERE FOR A GOOD 2 MIN!!!

  • Why the heck did they put a needle in your eye ?

  • they did that so i wouldn't feel anything when they use the laser to repair my retna...to numb it up basically....

  • Well , I got that part . They could have just used numbing drops .

  • he said he needed something stronger since he was gonna operate with a laser

(the only thing they used numbing drops on me was for checking eye pressure) =P

when i say "numb", after he gave me the shot, my eye got lazy, slowly drifted away from whatever i focused on, basically losing any control over it.

  • Well , i guess everything comes with a price then eventually you have some reward . Was the recovery bad ?

  • nope. everything was fine afterwards, i only had to wear an eyepatch tilll the next day =)

but i had to wait a while in between each eye they worked on. one day i get 2 shots in my right eye and then get it lasered, then 2 or 3 weeks later they do the same to my other eye

  • Ok , I am just curious to learn about this kind of stuff because I want to be a pilot and they are very strict about eye sight . Thanks

  • did it take away the pain though?!? i mean it mightve hurt

  • YEAH IT FUCKIN HURT! I HAVEN'T FELT ANYTHING SO PAINFUL IN MY LIFE!!! >=(

but thats just the 2 shots in the eye, i don't feel anything during the laser part. =P

  • The needle hurt but then U felt OK during laser, right? Still eyes R very sensitive

  • yup! didn't feel anything during the laser ^_^

  • i just got it done this morning. got to love the army it was FREE. but i can already tell a diffrence

  • You're in the army ?

  • there are no risks if you choose not to have the surgery? LOL

  • Comment removed

  • 'there are no risks in choosing not to have the surgery' that insanely stupid phrase just put me off.

  • @fudge1monkey It's not stupid! It means that you won't be damaged by your condition if you don't rectify the problem. If you think of a failing kidney then there IS a risk if you don't have surgery. With laser eye surgery however, it won't damage you if you don't have surgery. It's good they tell you this, as it means some people won't feel they have to spend loads of money on a condition that won't harm them.

  • @UnitedColorsofTom

that was given.... its pretty obvious laser eye surgery is a pretty new thing which is just not necessary. what was the point of telling us that when i think everybody knows that if they dont have laser eye surgery, they wont suddenly explode.

  • @fudge1monkey I think they just mean as opposed to something like an appendectomy, in which case there usually is a risk of not having the surgery... But yeah still fucking obvious.

  • i got that surgery in my country Colombia, that was about 800 dollars!!

  • was that for both eyes??

  • yeah!!, and that was like 5 mins each. :)

  • o, because I want to get my in MEX, I don't think is much cost difference.

  • i have a closed angle glaucoma, is it possible for me to have this laser eye surgery? iwould be grateful if you'd help me answering this question! thanks in advance!

  • Does laser sergery like this wear off eventually? I'm 20 and thinking of having it done, although I'm highly sceptical and most likely will get contacts, I'm just wondering.......I don't want to go and have it done in my mid 20s and find out later down in the line my eyes are going to get worse, and eventually make it pointless, rending another surgery helpless?

  • Be very careful. At age 20, people eye changes and they need higher point priscription glasses every year and eyeglass from last year become useless. What if your eye also get change after surgery, does it mean you would need another corrective surgery?

However there is a surtain age when eye finally stop at getting worse but its different for everybody, doctor says its age 22 but its not true.

Make sure you talk to different doctors about this procedure before letting them cut you open.

  • Yeah thanks, I actually just had to get new glasses, it was a small change, but a change none the less. I didn't ask about surgery, I thought if they're getting worse laser surgery will fix it, but it'll more than likely still hit a decline untill my prescription levels out.

Oh well glasses it is :(

  • ive often wondered this myself, i am 16 and have terrible eyesight, i think that its a possibility that if i get my shortsightedness fixed, my eyes will just get worse over the course of the next 16 years until they are back to where i am now!

  • yah i have it now,so that i need to go to national eye centre to cure my eye by using laser

  • "there are no risks in choosing not to have the surgery"

well fucking derrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The risks are in having the surgery not NOT having it. state the fucking obvious why don't you.

  • @kewballl go through that again..

  • @kewballl you stupid idiot, you could have the risk of blindness or something if you choose not correcting it. The obvious is needed when explaining medical terms.

  • @kewballl Well fucking derrrrrr back at ya! It's not implied that it safe not to have a surgery; most surgeries are necessary to avoid a disease/risk for disease. The fact that she stated that it is safe not to have the surgery just underlines that the condition is not progressive/in danger of affecting other parts of the body, thus it's a completely normal thing to say.

For example, you would not say the same about a ruptured aneurism or appendicitis, as they HAVE risks in NOT having surgery..

  • @kewballl But, it's not so obvious to everyone, that they are being mislead =).

  • i sooooooo want this i hate wearing my glasses i want 20.20 vision thats perfect vision i want that! reply to me!

  • costs alot dude

  • my mom's BF had lazer eye surgery like half a year ago after u have it wear sunglasses and stay away from the light it burns ur eyes :)

  • Be concerned about your safety and avoid the complications by being prepared. check out safelasikguide [dot] com and read the whole site

  • i have -9 and -10 in my eyes. Do i fall in range for PRK? .i feel that it is safer than lasik, and hence I'd prefer this

  • Why im watching this video.... O O

  • Curious!

  • the problem is that the doctor removes a part of the humans eye , i think its not good to use it

  • yeah

  • all lies...

  • I was convinced about the things she said in the mid-part of the clip. But during the last parts, I was like.. GTFO! ALL SURGERY HAS RISKS OF SOMETHING.

  • my mum did this type of eye surgery 2 weeks ago in Iran, she is very pleased. I'm considering it myself.

  • do u just do this surgery once?>....also how much is it?>....some ppl told me u havta go back every month just to keep ur eyesight good....

  • Yes you only do it once. In sweden each eye costs about 1200 euros, in iran both eyes cost about 700 euros( Iranian doctors are great).

I don't understand ur comment about going back every months...why go back and how does that help to keep the eye sight "good" ?

It been over a month my mum did her surgery and every thing is fine. She used antibiotic eye drops the first 2 weeks.

I wouldn't listen or ask people who haven't had the experience, they tend to make up a lot of things.

  • how many Euros are in a dollar?....also some1 told me that every month u hav to redo this surgery just to keep ur eyesight good.....also wats the risk of taking this?>.... cause i've seen videos of them messing up.....that'll make ya blind...=/

  • In the Philippines it ranges from 65k Pesos to 85k Pesos. That.s around 1,500USD-2,000USD. Even with the cheaper and lesser known Doctors everybody I talked to were very happy with the results. Just be prepared for the 2-3 days that your eyes are going to hurt like hell.

You don't have to redo the surgery every month. That's just crazy!! Check-ups should be fine.

The risks are there, but that's where your doctor's experience comes into play. Get a very experienced one.

  • thanx.....is one of the risk going blind?.llol...

  • Haha..of course there is. But during the operation? The doctors would be stupid if that happens. You should really take care of your eyes during post op because getting infected while the eye is still unhealed could lead to blindness.

  • thanx for th tips....but i hav doubts of taking this...i mean i don't wana go blind the rest of my life just bcuz i hate glasses.....

  • What you're doing is correct. There's no point rushing or forcing it. However, I suggest you undergo refractive screening from 2-3 well reputed doctors. They will check your eyes thoroughly to see if you are fit for PRK, what your percentage of having complications are, if your eyes are healthy or disease-free, etc. I suggest at least 2 reputable ophthalmologists (as what I have done) to be able to have the safety-net of having a second or even third opinion. I was like you at first. Hehehe.

  • lol thanx.....i guess i'll just wait and see.......my eyes are fine...just bad eyesight...other than that its healthy....

  • Good for you! By the way, I just went to the optometrist who did the operation for my regular check-up. My eyes are now 20/10 on the left and 20/15 on the right. I hope it gets even better:)

  • i have to go to a building for about 2 hours,cause i have a lazy eye

  • why do u havta go to the building just bcuz u have lazy eye?>...

  • in my country the operation costs 500 euros

  • lucky ! in my country it costs around 1500-2000euros per eye !! :/

  • yea wen i was young i played game boy sp alot....now my eyes are horrible....yea...should ii take this? surgery...?....also is it permanat?....i dont hav 2 go bac every month to do it again?>.....thnx.....o yea how much?.....

  • same here. Im playing computergames way too much. Now my vision is fucked up.

  • Can your eyes go bad again after the surgery?

  • this for people who for born with bad vision

  • During the Surgery It doesnt hurt because you will be given anesthetic, But a few days after the surgery, It may start to hurt, either alot or a little, Depending generally on what type of treatment you have done

  • i have astigmaism..........but the doctor said that i coud have the surgery only after i m 21 yers.....untill then is not recomanded.....

  • is nearsightedness/myopia basicaly being 'short sighted' because i'm short sighted and i'm interested cozi dont like contacts or glasses. is the operation at all painful?

  • I have hyperopia and an astigmatism. I was reccomended for this and found it intresting

  • i have an astigmatism

  • I had LASIK surgery at the HOWERTON EYE CENTER in Austin and had a great experience! 8 years later...I still see great.

  • 'No Touch'™ laser vision correction.

    This technique evolved from PRK.

It also treats the surface of the cornea but unlike other techniques, requires no assistance from manual surgical instruments. It is the only technique to use exclusively the Excimer Laser from start to finish.

    Check my video

  • ooooo

  • It dosen't hurt at the moment but in the first 24-48 hours(after the end of the anesthesia effects)it could be painfull.

PRK in Presbiopya have not the same % of success than in miopya and low astigmatism corrections.

    GOOD LUCK! The Specialist

    Let's create an army.

  • An army of people who can only see 10 feet in front of them (or in my case worse!) I'm in!

  • Yeah i got myopia.

  • does it hurt?

  • nice
