Both parties are bought and paid for and the elites care not which one of their two offerings you choose. Besides, it's not the popular vote that counts anyway so elections are only for show. Each administration sets up the power structure for each new one and this way the shadow government (acknowledged by 20+ presidents) maintains power, money, & influence. Each new President agrees to protect and/or pardon the outgoing cabinet in case of investigation and/or prosecution.
