Hope to God that someone get a complete score and soundtrack put together for offical release as soon as possible. This by far one of the best score that my man Herbie Hancock ever put together. This opening theme will keep you going in and out. Eddie Murphy did a great job directing his first and only picture (no question about it). Him, Richard Pryor and the cast are a great who's who collabo!!! A great classic movie.

listening to this, sitting next to a roaring fireplace, with a nice glass of cognac or brandy is just perfect in my opinion. Letting the mellowness of the saxophone take all your problems away.

This is by far one of the best pieces of jazz music I have ever heard. I remember watching Harlem nights over 15 years ago and this song stuck in my head. Thank you for sharing this.
