Can you tell me how you captured the video for use in FCP?. Did it involve connecting the camera to the computer or did you drag the capture files from a SD card? Ive got a pile of .MTS files that I need to edit and im thinking about purchasing a decklink intensity care for use with a Hachintosh and FCP. What kind of capture card did you use?
@lsi624 If you have .MTS files you don't need a capture card. Use "Log and Transfer" in FCP. Hopefully you kept the folder structure intact on the SD card.
@brokenjax I dumped all of the MTS files over the years onto a hard drive and the only version of FCP that appears to be able to really deal with MTS files is FCP7 and I assume you need the camera attached. Would you feel comfortable installing a PCIe capture card for use with FCP on your hackistosh....Say a AJA card ?...Also....Can you tell me the Geekbench numbers you got?
Since i got the adobe CS4 Production premium my macbook has been crying under all that pressure and ive been considering building him an illagitimate bigger brother ;) How does your machine handle updates? and how does the networking work? do you get full bonjour support? (printer sharing, file sharing) Thanks and keep up the good work! ;)
I have the same experience, virtually no crashes on any application no matter what! If I really overload my system, QuickTime 7 will sometimes have trouble, but I'm not sure if that is due to the Hackintosh or the legacy software issue.
QuickTime X will not crash no matter what I throw at it or do while it's running.
