1.Arcade/Combat/Graphics/BigBa­ngBoom stuff: Ace Combat series; HAWX (imho total bs, but some people like it). Older graphics: F16 Lightning III, Commanche 4

2.semi-realistic; but graphics are not really up-to-date (though not bad): F22 - Air Dominance Fighter; EF-200; IL-2 Sturmovik (only on highest realism)

3. Very realistic (depends of course on difficulty level) And nice graphic: LOMAC/BS; FX-F-16FF.

Thats just my opinion;)

@BlackPanthersvideos for a console, over-g is the best flight sim game. its a sim though, you only have as many missiles as you launch with, if you need more you land and rearm. carrier landings...... take a wile to get the hang of. its a budget game the menu screen etc.. are shit, but the actual game play is amazing :).

Ace Combat on the PS2 was better than anythin, the new Assault Horrizon they're bringing out has killed the AC Franchise, i mean, they had they're own world to play around with, but instead they scrapped all of it for a "look how great America is" style game, H.A.W.X does look good, although ive never played it, might have to give it a go now AC has sold its soul ^^

the problem with all those new fighter simulation games is that you have unlimited weapons and it's just not realistic, I mean the scenario is completely stupid and boring, they should do a little less action and a little more thinking it would be much better !

@mattlange00 not a flight sim, arcade aerial combat. Its not meant to be too realistic, it tends to be a buzzkill on the action. this isnt meant to play like a flight sim, more like call of duty. if you're looking for flight sims i'd recommend IL-2 or aces high

I like all the people who are saying ace combat is more realistic. Your plane can carry 100 fucking missles. Thats not very realistic to me. If you want realism, play Falcon 4.0 or Lock On. These are arcade games. Just because they aren't realistic, doesn't mean its not fun! Its made to be fun!

@jin7210 : I dont want to be impolite, but HAWX is typical mass-game combat stuff. Focuses on graphics, but is really simple. Ace Combat ist more complex, graphics are comparable (At least AC7 now), but is still not a real simulation. If you want action and you dont care about flight maneuvers or aerials tactics, then these two are a good choice for u.I played both, but I like complex thinking and realistic simulations: If you want this, kick these two and get LOMAC/BS or FX-F-16FF.

Any selfrespecting stealth aircraft DOES NOT carry bombs/misiles externally. This screws up the stealth of the aircraft all together! Hence the creation of the bomb bays. The game looks great graphics wise, but behond that, its all as fake and unreal as you can get. SO! Although i usually let fictional stuff slide (multiple bombs and misiles), I wont be buying this game thanks to its TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! story line. I can only bare so much!
