So the Washington Nationals have the same hat as the Senators did?

@Knightmessenger I know the red Nationals hat with the W was the exact same as the hat that the expansion version of the Senators wore (currently the Texas Rangers). I don't know if the original Senators franchise (the Minnesota Twins) ever wore this.

@ jerseyoldschool I remember this was the 50th anniversary of the game so it was hyped throughout the game with past highlights from old games. The intro shows all the caps that teams wore in the All Star Game. I do know the Brooklyn Dodgers hat was in the back row and is impossible to see in this video.

At 0:47, in the sequence of caps, there is one for the Washington Nationals. 1983 All-Star opening with a Nats cap???? HOW??

@jjkakdb There was already a Texas Rangers cap in the sequence. It begs the question...why would a 1983 All Star opening have a Senators cap? A team that ended its stay in DC 12 years earlier? If NBC's intention was honoring old teams, why only Senators and not a Brooklyn Dodger or Boston Braves cap? Or even Providence Grays : -) Answer is not important and not really a big deal, but just curious.

Do you have the actual game or just this NBC intro? I have tried finding the player intro's with clear audio but no luck!
