This is why Eric loves Sookie so much. He was drawn to her from the beginning, but she first, help him find, and second, stayed with his maker when he met the truth death. And Sookie also saw the real Eric here. Such a beautiful relationship he had/has with Godric. No wonder he's the better vampire, when you look at Bill's maker by comparison.

Eric's creator was such a pure individual. They had such an honest and healthy bond...so much stronger and more meaningful than any other maker and child bond on this show. Maybe that's why Eric and Sookie are able to connect so well...they're goodness just radiates from the healthy relationships that nourished them.

aww.. in the book godric isn't eric's maker.. there is not indication there.. godric is only a vampire who kidnapped another vampire for the FotS or Fellowship of the Sun.. the only significance is Godric killed himself by means of the sun in the book too..

Actually by crying he shows exactly how strong and secure he is. Most men will not cry because they are afraid of appearing weak, Eric cried because he feels comfortable allowing his feelings and frustration out. It takes an emotionally mature and strong person to do that.
