Dull; the whole performance is a mediocre copy of Laura Bell's. Her accent is awful and she doesn't finishes her phrases properly. And where is the top note at the end?

Plus, she looks less like Reese Witherspoon and more like Leanne from Coronation Street. Not really the stunning, popular girl at school.

@CHRISNOON3 she's not american which automatically makes it harder, this is an english performance which means the american accent is automatically going to be weaker. i think it is fair enough to say you prefer LBB but i do not think you should criticise her look. sheridan smith is gorgeous and she's a lovely person so you may not think she has the talent but i don't think you need to bring her looks into it as has normal real girl looks and thats what makes her so relate-able

We went to see this for my friends 18th, and we were sat in the 2nd row. We started singing along to most of the songs and every now and again Sheridan looked down at us and smiled!! She really interacted with our audience.

i saw sheridan as elle and richard fleesman as warner when i went and sheridan is amazing, thing is i think that richard is too young looking as warner :s i think that sheridan is a really good elle and i like that some of the routines she still does some janet from 2 pints like in what you want... anyways imo i think that sheridan is good as elle but i agree that she is not as good as LBB

@Bullock1992 Agree 100% and sheridan is the better actor, because she's done a mix of tv and theatre :) (Seen both btw) I prefer Sheridan, But sheridan is much more instantly likeable as the role that's probably why, Broadway owns the musical because it had a higher budget

sheridans a much funnier elle! she may not be as strong a singer but thats because shes not had the same training as LBB. Sheridan was amazing when i saw her and i really loved it

@fabulusme17 The soundtrack comes out on Aug. 2 i believe for the london cast, however it is taken from an actual show, rather than recorded in the studio.

@fabulusme17 They only recorded So Much Better for the music video - the rest of the soundtrack does not exist. Like iluvLBTm said, the soundtrack was recorded during three live performances with the best bits taken from each. They also did a single day of recording in the studio to fix bits that didn't come out well in the shows. This video here was also taken from a show though, so expect the soundtrack to be similar to what you can hear on this video.

I went to see Legally Blonde last month not really knowing what to expect and the whole show and cast blew me away. Sheridan was phenomenal. Her voice, her acting, her comedic timing - she was just the perfect Elle! Videos do not do her justice, so never criticise what you haven't seen or heard in person. The whole cast were fab. but I really loved Susan McFadden (Serena), Alex Gaumond (Emmett) + Jill Halfpenny (Paulette) + Aoiffe Mulholland (Brooke) inspired me so much I've started skipping!!!

Vocally, I think Laura Bell and Sheridan Are equal; but Laura bell put's so much more energy into this number, and works the crowd a bit more; they're both amazing, but is laura not the orginal elle, if so you can't expect sheridan to be half as good as she actually is

@silenthillmaster755 Nobody cares what Heather Hach said. Her opinion isn't the one that matters. Just because Heather Hach says it, that doesn't make it true. Stephen Schwartz also said that Kristin Chenoweth IS Glinda, but a lot of people would disagree. Have you seen Sheridan Live? Because if you haven't then you have no right to judge. I thought Sheridan was rubbish before I saw her live, and she turned out to be amazing. She's not as good a singer as Bundy but she's a better Elle.

Broadway had laura bell bundy, we get stuck with her, England audiences have been totally short changed here. In no universe is she remotely good enough to play Elle Woods. And she's about 15 years too olds, and looks it!

I've seen this show twice now and the whole cast are amazing! Sheridan Smith is outstanding, they will struggle to replace her! Suzie McAdam as Enid is hysterical!!

What I heard was Jerry Mitchell hinted a few months ago that they would be making a film of the musical. So they would be doing a remake of the film but this time it would be a musical. I love the original Legally Blonde but when ever I watch the film i expect them to start singing and dancing and I think it belongs as a musical!

I swear she looks just like Stockard Channing (Rizzo from Grease) in a blonde wig. But she sounds amazing. Her singing voice is kinda deep, which seems uncharacteristic of Elle, but it still sounds beautiful. Her characterization is great.
