  • cut some capers, man!

  • I love this music. Ritualistic paganism woven through it that fits the film perfectly. To me it is a little spooky but the real horror is at the end. I remember that first viewing very clearly and wasn't expecting it. The sheer terror that awaited Howie's fate as he rose to the top of the hill in full sight of The Wicker Man. An absolutely superb film and I can't recollect another film that's similar or even comes close from a plot and musical standpoint. Robin Hardy directed this film superbly!

  • Absolutely amazing song.

  • Why do people say this film was creepy? I find it quite enjoying, curious and amusing.

  • pagan, festive, frightening, funny - the mixture of feelings

  • Poor Fool!

  • of all the non vocal tunes in the film the best

  • this tune is one of the best in the movie. it just has that feel to it thats a bit creepy and eerie but cheerful at the same time

  • @Davadino so right!!

  • @Davadino It is the tune of a traditional Scottish ballad - "Willie O'Winsbury"

  • Cut some capers, man! Use your bladder!

  • i can has summerisle plz?

  • An essential horror film. The level of discomfort during this scene- the dancing of punch (the fool) and the droning walk of the villagers. Cinematic glory, and auditory magnificence.
