General Order Number 9 was General Lee's final order to the troops at Appomatox, Virginia: "after four years of arduous struggle, marked by unsurpassed courage and devotion, the Army of Northern Virginia has been compelled to yield to overwhelming manpower and resources. ... "
So, did it ever occur to some of you that there are people out there who LOVE movies like this exactly because it doesn't tell you what it's about up front...you have to actually watch it...and it doesn't explain itself in a thirty-second clip...you have to pay attention? It's ok if you like exploding robots. But I don't.. And that doesn't make me or the movie "pretentious." There are plenty of exploding robot movies, and precious few that I find at all interesting.
The map is Georgia and he has a bit of a southern accent. but not really sure what it is about. I guess it might be what if wh were all gone and the planet started over with out humans. Maybe it is the start of when plants rule the planet. Oh how will you tell them that you used to eat their elders. But Brocolli was good for me I did not mean to eat your ancestor.
Hey guys, this reminds me of how Transformers has completely ruined the movie industry because it's apparently the only movie to come out in years. Oh yeah, and it's also a new thing and WASN'T based on a concept from 1984. @thebigmalkowski you are a douchebag

Aside from the entire trailer dialogue, which in itself reeks of pretentious dribble, I haven't a single clue what this film is about. I could care less if it won several awards.
@Bwelchka heaven forbid a movie makes you think and doesn't spoon feed your lazy-minded ass with mindless dribble. just b/c something makes you use your mind doesn't mean it's pretentious. oh wait, you're an idiot and don't understand anything i'm saying.
once again it seems that the masses prefer dumbed-down, spoon-fed, cookie cutter, mindnumbingly stupid, Hollywood bullshit movies w/ extraterrestrial cars from outer space that turn into robots & are at war w/ one another...because the masses don't like to think, they want to sit in front of a movie screen & use their finger to drum their lips while damaging their brain watching junk food entertainment...no wonder films suck these days! & a good film is so rare. & G.O. #9 is that rare film.
@thebigmalkowski Oh well... i like moviees like Transformers AND I like movies like General Orders No. 9. Well... i haven't seen it yet but you know what i mean.
But... i have A LOT to think in my job or whatever i do EXCEPT watching movies... so yeah, sometimes a big blockbuster in 3d at the biggest cinema in town is exactly what i want. And it don't feels like damaging my brain. :)
@Archetype69 touche', bro. some of the blockbusters are good for tuning out for a bit, i guess, but they've turned moviemaking into such a business now that that is almost all they make and the art side of films has eroded.......so i vented about it.
@24Rorschach Rorschach, you need a hug.....i was venting, tired of the withering assault of the stupid junk food movies....some so stupid you find yourself wondering how it ever got funded & greenlit for production....
@thebigmalkowski QQ boo fukn hoo, pussy! yeah, movies these days suck, everyone knows it. so what? so go make a good one, if you have all the answers. or just keep trolling youtube, fag. get over it! none of this matters
@thebigmalkowski I'm not even really sure what you're getting at. Movies are entertainment. If people want to watch movies of robots blowing stuff up, who cares? You may bs generalizations about the "masses" and why? Does it make you feel more intelligent than everyone else? Give me a break. Did you ever once use that exceptional brain of yours to come to the conclusion that maybe, just maybe, people watch "mindnumbingly stupid" movies to escape the crap they deal with in their everyday lives?
@thebigmalkowski You have to understand one simple fact though. The majority of people are not intellectuals and do not think outside the box. Therefore the majority of people like the movies you just described.
@orenbj88 pretty sure it's about human's impact on the landscape. They use Georgia as a model or template, for what has happened in the rest of America, and the world. They use poetry, maps, and animations as the medium to document the evolution and change in the landscape.
