And Rowell Ranch Rodeo is a privite event that is why you paid an addmission fee to get onto the park, and you walked by signs that were clearly posted saying no photography or video.

I would like to just say a couple of things to all the anti- rodeo supporters, in 2009 H.A.R.D lifted the ban on hot-shots because they determined that they were not cruel and decided to go with Ca state law which does not prohibit the use of hot-shots. If the horse didn't buck, the bucking events would be knocked out. In any case, it was going to be one hell of a show. We offered to sign insurance waivers. The PRCA refused. True story. Nuff said.

Do not let very few incidents portray the overall rodeo event. I have been in the rodeo business for a while and 90% of the cowboys out there are sincere and honest. Just because a few are corupt doesn't mean all of them are. I have 8 horses and all are used to teach children how to ride. They live better than most Americans do. ParkFighter: Congrats on your first lucid post. Most stock contractors SHARK investigates are doing things they know they're not supposed to do. PRCA humane rules are by and large considered a joke. Those who are as you say corrupt do indeed need to be dealt with, but they are not, so the corruption spreads.

Rather than attacking those exposing the corruption, rodeo folk should insist that the industry clean up its act, and it has a long, long way to go.

Maybe i misunderstood the last part of the penal code but did it say to protect the rider or the fans. well i can tell you have never been on a horse that stalled in the chute. That is the worse place to be and the rider can get realy hurt. I was on a stalled horse about two years ago and he then came out backward and broke my leg because of it.
