"THE PLOT THICKENS" was another attempt by John Guedel {"PEOPLE ARE FUNNY", "YOU BET YOUR LIFE"} to sell a game show in 1963- this time with a panel (three of them were Stanley Ralph Ross, who later wrote several episodes of "BATMAN"; actress Jan Sterling; and Guedel's old friend and star of "YOU BET YOUR LIFE"]. Emcee Jack Linkletter {Art's son} was host of ABC's folk music showcase "HOOTENANNY" at the time...
"TIME OUT FOR GINGER", adapted by Ron Alexander from his stage play, was a 1960 pilot starring Candy Moore (she later played Lucy's daughter on "THE LUCY SHOW"). "MEET THE O'BRIENS" was an unsold 1954 pilot produced by Roland Reed {"TROUBLE WITH FATHER", "MY LITTLE MARGIE"}- the theme was also used on "TROUBLE WITH FATHER"- starring Dave O'Brien, actor/stunt man/writer/director, who was featured in MGM's "Pete Smith Specialities" in the '40s and '50s- he later wrote for Red Skelton's TV show
"LET'S JOIN JOANIE" was an unaired 1950 attempt by CBS to adapt her radio show, "LEAVE IT TO JOAN", for television. "THE CAROL CHANNING SHOW" was an unaired 1966 attempt by Desi Arnaz to sell a sitcom featuring her. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" was a 1961 effort by producer John Guedel to sell a new filmed quiz show starring Groucho Marx after "YOU BET YOUR LIFE" had ended {it was sold to CBS in January 1962 as "TELL IT TO GROUCHO", lasting 17 weeks}....
Most of them are radio programs with pictures. TV hadn't figured itself out yet.

The Plot Thickens -- wasn't that redone as Whodonit ? A sort of mystery-game show combo (hosted by Ed McMahon I think) in the late 70s

@joebradio And a similar concept was done by New York City station WABD on a show called "Crawford Mystery Theater" during the early 1950s..
