The only thing that would work with a standard nut is a Fender Synchronized Tremolo bridge. All the others require a locking nut. Again, unless you are very talented with wood working or a skilled luthier, installing a trem into an Epiphone Les Paul is going to be very difficult, time consuming and will cost big $. You should leave it alone and take the money you would have spent and just buy what you want. You don't want the headache. If it were a special guiatar, maybe. but it's just an Eppi.
Any mod can be done to any guitar by anyone. The only question is how good are you or how much can u spend for someone else to do the work. Installing a Floyd on a guitar entails some serious routing and body work. The Floyd will also cost you near $200. You would be better off buying an Epiphione Les Paul Axxis. The P/U's are easy to install.
Glad to see you back man. I was afraid you'd abandoned YT. Nice work with the HD500. I have the DigiTech RP1000 myself. It is amazing what a good job the amp modeler boards can do. The biggest problem with them is the hardware DSP limits, but you can work around that by letting the HD500 do the amp simulation and using a multi-effects board for the rest.
dude are you really playing at yellow springs ohio tonight? I live in dayton i wanna go so bad!

@superboosterhunter2 Check out Kahler, drops right on to the TOM studs, all you gotta do is install a locking nut.

Also I would like to put a set of Slash Humbuckers.
Would this work or no.

@smacman68 Is there any other tremolo that keeps in tune that I could install with a regular nut?
