  • were do the fish go

  • Its unfortunate what logging can do. Amazing footage though.

  • He even knew to stop in the middle to look both ways

  • werewas this

  • @fodnis3 This took place in Washington, USA

  • That footage made it to regional television, didn't it? I sure seem to recall seeing it. Or perhaps it just looks similar. Sadly, I imagine there were a goodly number of opportunities to capture footage like that during the flood. :-(

  • thats kool frsh fish

  • I didn't know that about the Skok.

  • Actually they did cut down pretty much all the trees in the Skokomish watershed at one time.

  • I have lived on the Sky most of my life. This happens every year. 1975 was a bigger flood than this one. Logging efects flooding but does not cause it. Dikes down stream move the flood up stream. Every time Man tries to control nature they make the problem worse or just move it around.

The clear cuts from when I was young are now thick forests. It is a 30 to 50 year crop. It gets replanted as soon as it is cut. They don't just cut down all of the trees and leave the mountain bare.

  • seen this in person on the skok and satsop

  • Yes a big flood the river cresed at 19.2 feet and that is a record for that river. It is the Skokomish River near the Hood Canal in Washington. It floods because of damage caused by logging.

  • FLOOD?

  • Duh?

  • how'd they get to the road then? are they trying to get to another body of water or?
