"Steal"? Well, Kim was gone by this point, and she didn't return for nearly 4yrs later. So seems it was up for fair grabs to me.

Lavinia Milosovici obviously thought the same thing, as she also performed the same pass, with a front added after the double twist, at this point (and all the way up to the '96 Olympics) as well.

@01aabads exactly the commentator even said this is a new pass for here she got the 3 whip backs from dominique not that dominique owns the moves, but she didnt start doing it until she saw the response dominique got

Also, do you require a VHS tape? I can send it as an *.mpg (to view on computer) or a DVD much more easily than I can by replicating a VHS.

If you choose digital, give me until this Sunday, allow me to see if I can digitize it in its entirety. If so, we'll figure out a fair offering from there. I don't think $12 ($10 for the tape, $2 to compensate shipping) is unfair, do you? If VHS, it'd be more due to more effort

Sure, schedule is a lot more open, so I can do it. I have the full women's meet, and a good bit of the men's, but not all of it. A bit of static, but still very clear for being a 19yr old tape. :)

I have it, but it's not digitized. It was a longggggg meet, I doubt you'll find the whole thing, but who knows. :)

I feel as though Dawes should have won simply because your floor routine was more difficult and more cleanly done, Shannon had low landings and stumbles and steps. But that has been the controversy over years, that Shannon has always gotten overly scored when Dawes was underly scored.... But I am a fan of both but not equally.... I tend to love Dawes more.....

...if you like this, then I strongly recommend buying/downloading more of Sandor Lakatos' music. His songs "The Mail" and "Gypsy Violin" were spliced together to create this music, but their full versions are awesome in their own right!

i dont agree kim was a power house with no grace, not as many medals or achivements as shannon maybe you should do some research about both gymnast before you start blowing your mouth off. kim was NOT better and both their reccords prove it

@luv4cookie1 Shannon may be a more decorated gymnast but when it comes to tumbling, there is no competition between her and Kim. Her tripple whip tumbling pass is far better than this.

After watching the floor routines from the 2009 Worlds, this routine from Shannon is a breath of fresh air. Someone with expressive, beautiful choreography that actually goes with the music! The competitors of today could do well to take a leaf from her book.

That's an opinion, which you or anyone else is more than entitled to have... but also keep in mind that Shannon won wayyyyy more accolades, in more venues, than Kim ever did.

Shannon has the most elegant form/extension in whipbacks that I've ever seen, definitely looks like more than just an elevated flipflop when she does it!

I sorta think of this as a farewell tribute to Kim Zmeskal, during her (first) retirement ;)
