i never understood the attraction of pills? first,you swallow the damn thing,theres no ritual involved. wheres the intense stomach flipping,muscle relaxing instantaneous rush.,on pills it takes for ever and its not even intense. but most of all, you dont get jacked up,the energy,that rush. pills only get you drowsy,your heads in a fog,dead limbs. i can understand its more readily available, the withdrawls are less.but the highs weak,its not worth the trouble. ill stick to dope.

I've been a heavy oxycontin addict for the past 3 years of my life and I must say man, it IS the DEVIL. I have had SEVERAL prescriptions to suboxone and so forth and nothing has helped me kick it. I'm currently on a home detox and just using natural shit and on day 5 and its pretty rough hombre. If you're not into suboxone which is a double edged sword, Vitamin C in 2,000 mg doses is helpful beyond what you may think. Don't slip back in man keep it up. You're one of many many opiate additcs.

Besides, really it's not about how many you take or even what u take, it's how much you love em and depend on em. I used to average about 8 10/325's a day, which I know isn't breaking any world records, but man I loved em. And it was very hard to quit. That's why some people quit heroin easily and others have a hard time with vicodin, he obviously really loved his vikes

I know what you are going through hun. I just recently had to go to treatment because I thought I could do it on my own but I tried and tried. I was addicted to Vicodin and Percocet. I got to the point to where I was taking 20 10mg oxycodone a day. My habit was 50 dollars a day or more. I do outpatient and attend regular NA meetings. Those things will help more than you know. @Lindsey282010 im surprised your clinic hasnt kicked you out if you're doing H on top of methadone, which seems useless since done blocks, well for most people but i guess youre on a low enough dose, if u wanna stop H then goto like 120mg of methadone a day you wont even feel fentanyl. I was in a clinic but now i have pain and get 90mg done a day prescribed by my physican 30mg 3x a day and 10 75mcg patches.

I've had many opiate withdrawals. The worst one was from buprenorphine, but some people seem to tolerate it very well. Morphine was the second worst, and poppy pod withdrawal was a close runner up. Hydrocodone withdrawal was very transient to me, even after daily use for months. At least you're not on methadone; that stuff is fucking insidious.

I got to a mg a day and did that cold turkey. Some people go down to as low as .25 mg and still have a hard time. My withdrawal lasted about a month: a week of acute stuff and I'm just now getting out of the post acute stuff, which is still some pretty bad symptoms due to down regulation of the receptors. I'm guessing they prescribe bupe because it's easier to function on than other opiates, but the withdrawal for me was two-fold.

cigarettes are more dangerous for your body than opioids...the only thing that is dangerous for your body is the tylenol (acetaminophen) that is contained in Percs and Lortabs, the actual opioid doesn't hurt your body it just alters your endogenous opioid receptors and the way they function etc which can be bad but is not essentially toxic

Second get some vitamins a good muilti vitamin, Omega 3 oil, flax seed oil, naproxen sodium amino acids and a bottle of powdered protien. This will help you a lot trust me. Look this is gonna suck but get off your ass and WORKOUT! I once got through most of the withdrawals from a 8 months oxycodone habit in two days. I ran my ass off for those two day and drank 2 gallons of water protien shakes and all those viatamins i told you to get. Good luck. Youll be fine gettting clean is easy but staying

Look bro, I just kicked opiate myself and i have some info for you that will make your withdrawal easier. I kicked methadone the withdrawals for that shit is 3-4weeks. You only have a week of hell ahead of you so be thankfull. First get some immodium ad and take three of them, I know what the bottle says but what does the painm pill bottle say? This is not true.... Longest Oxycontin cold turkey Withdrawal is 7 days. Using detox medication can extend the withdrawal to up to 14 days but they are much milder. The only opiate that has a 30 day withdrawal is methadone.
