TMT was created in response to EOKA in order to protect Turkish villagers from EOKA. TMT were not forcing Turkish Cypriots to leave at all. If it wasn’t for TMT there would have been far more Turkish civilian deaths. I can show you proof of some of the atrocities committed by EOKA. Here is evidence of two accounts that occurred in Cyprus, but please keep in mind that atrocities like this was occurring all over Cyprus between 1955-1974.

The full intercommunal fighting started in1963.

But the atrocities committed against the Turks were greatly disproportionate to the deaths of the Greeks. How many thousands of Turks did Nikos Sampson kill? How many thousands of Turks did George Grivas kill? I am a Turkish Cypriot, many of my family were killed by EOKA, a few escaped with their lives.

The Greeks had 100% control of Cyprus in those days and openly denied the atrocities they committed against the minority Turkish population. There are hundreds of stories by people like those in the video with Souat and Ali all over north cyprus. In the video you can see some of the 12,000 killed at the memorial.

The activities of TMT never mentioned.Attacks on mosgues, the turkish press office and other significant areas were orchestrated by TMT to create an atmosphere of fear and revenge. Mr Denkatsh admitted years latter.
In 1963 the TURDIK was immomolised and cut off the kyrenia /Nicosia road.

TMT was created in response to EOKA in order to protect Turkish villagers from EOKA. TMT were not forcing Turkish Cypriots to leave at all. If it wasn’t for TMT there would have been far more Turkish civilian deaths. I can show you proof of some of the atrocities committed by EOKA. Here is evidence of two accounts that occurred in Cyprus, but please keep in mind that atrocities like this was occurring all over Cyprus between 1955-1974.

@tracer1024 The first killing were collaborators with the British whether were greek or turkish cypriots.The first turkish cypriot that was killed was a policeman,then in 12/6/1958 was the incident at Genuyeli where the turks killed the kontemenos civilians. In february 1959 after the Zurich agreement ,EOKA stopped fighting the weapons were ceized and Grivas left Cyprus in march. That was when the ''DENIZ'' was captured full of weapons. The full intercommunal fighting started in1963.

The first small pockets of Turks being killed were in 1955, their deaths were later associated with EOKA. Im not claiming that the Turks didn’t kill Greek people. But the atrocities committed against the Turks were greatly disproportionate to the deaths of the Greeks. How many thousands of Turks did Nikos Sampson kill? How many thousands of Turks did George Grivas kill? I am a Turkish Cypriot, many of my family were killed by EOKA, a few escaped with their lives.

@TheMastros1 I can not provide any independent source, other than the statistics provided by the Turks. Births and deaths were not in the hands of the Turks in Cyprus at that time. The Greeks had 100% control of Cyprus in those days and openly denied the atrocities they committed against the minority Turkish population. There are hundreds of stories by people like those in the video with Souat and Ali all over north cyprus. In the video you can see some of the 12,000 killed at the memorial.
