What happened when Purrity fought Vitali Klitschko? Oh yeah, I remember; he got his face punched in and stopped in the 11th. Kudos to him though for fighting some great fights against top ranked challengers! He caught them just at the right time apparently because he could never step into the championship level whereas Morrison and Wladimir Klitschko did.

Believe it or not, that Morrison fight was a draw. Had Morrison not gone down in that 10th round, he would have won by like a point or two most likely.

I agree, Purrity should have jumped on him, but he was spent as well.

Ross was a tough dude with pretty good power.he should have had more dedecation towards the boxing game and he could have been a chamion.he always seemed to be kind a mentally another place but he had some great moments with lots of talent and heart.I have big respect for ross and wish him luck on his raod in life.to bad you failed ross because you could have been champion but it was not meant to be..

Puritty was a strong man and was certainly a tough nut to crack. An extensive amateur background would have done his professional career wonders. He could punch, take a punch and was effective defensively. A polished style could have been developed in the amateurs.

Puritty was not to be taken lightly as a lot of good heavyweights learned. I will say though . . . when I originally saw him fight Morrison I thought he was robbed with a draw, but that fight was replayed on ESPN Classic last month and I scored it. The truth was, Morrison won almost every round. The only round Puritty won free & clear was the round he dropped Tommy twice. Puritty dropped Morrison early in the last round and then stopped fighting. Sorry, but the Duke was robbed!

Depsite his record..he ws only stopped one time in his career.(11 round TKO by Vitali Klitschko)I dotn recall him ever being dropped.
