40 psi he is not using pressure rated pvc with this pvc you can go up to 160 psi so stick with that

and try not to use flat end caps

Yes it would be, you'd just need to replace the PVC piping with metal piping.

OMG why do people use the solenoid on the valve, the would get way more power modifying it with a blowgun.

What? The solenoid isn't providing the launch power. The solenoid valve opens and shuts to release the compressed air from the reservoir so that it rapidly spreads out to fire the food out of the barrel.

see the valve does not open as much when air is released through a hole about 1/16 of an inch wide when it is released through a 3/8 inch hole it opens fully releasing air much faster

True. It'd probably be better to use a lever controlled gas valve, and leave it open when the cannon isn't aimed for safety reasons.

this is not very good construction...

airtank should be bigger then the barrel but if you have a small airtank and a big diameter barrel or a way for the air to come from a small hole to a big hole-barrel like this guy is very power ineffective
