well u basicly use dragon on all elders, they are all weak to it. but for kirin, fire or water is atcually better to use on him. but dragon is fine too..

I'd say Elder Kirin is probably easier than an Elder Garuga. Just do some training quests to get accustomed to their moves.

first time kirins a fagoot, do not use a great sword on a kirin, a hammer is much better

I got the elder kirin armor set using a great sword in MHF2.Now I hunt creatures like Tigrex  and Hypnoc in MHFU with longswords.

I find Greatwords much easier to kill a Kirin with then a Hammer (i used Titernia when i fought my first Kirin)

mm... but not many=P ... it doesnt have 'more' than rathalos, rathian, tigrex, diablos, monoblos, (so on), although they dont have any more than kirin does =P.... Most of the monsters have 4000 hp o.O

They're not necessarily bad. If you have a full party of 4 and you all use Corpse Blades, then you'll kill both Kirins in Thunder&Lightning in about 10 minutes.

NO! You need high raw, not Dragon element. TBDS has high raw and happens to have a lot of Dragon element too, which is a nice attack damage bonus, nothing more. Kirin is 95% resistant to dragon over its entire body, so it would be a BAD idea to bring your ES since it has such low raw attack.

No, it isn't. I just took it because of the sharpness+1 skill and because I knew I wouldn't get hit much. A better armour for beginners would be Khezu armour because of the high Thunder res and recovery speed +1. If you're more experienced and wanna go for a fast kill, I suggest any sharpness+1 armour.

TBDS is better. Period. Using BOS is just absurd because even the high dragon element is never going to do more damage than TBDS's superior raw attack power combined with its already high dragon element.

Actually, it's the sword itself that owns Kirin. ^.^

It's mostly the high raw attack power of TBDS that makes this weapon so good on Kirin. The Dragon element has only a minor secondary effect. Just wanted to make that clear.

thats fast enought but you could do it faster if you did´t kill the velopreys because kirin atttack them automatisk when i fight kirin i dont kill velopreys kirin kill them for me so if i was you. so will i get a better record :P i hope you own it under 2mins :D

The prey can withstand multiple thunderstrikes, so they'll get in your way quite a lot before they die.I didn't lose much time with it since I only killed them when Kirin was casting lightning.

Training quest coins are reward items from the Training quests. Once you've beaten your first Yian Kut-ku, you'll have unlocked them. Follow the path in the village to the top right side of the village and enter the training hall. This is very basic info though... Go to Gamefaqs (the website) if you have more questions like that.

It's just luck really. You should have noticed that I always wait to see what thunder move he's going to use, whether it's his 360 bolts, the ones onto his back or the ones straight forward. Always look what he's going to do before you jump in and attack. And the bomb was unnecessary actually, without it I would have killed him much faster. I just wanted to show a different way to fight Kirin. ^.^

You need Training quest coins for Black Belt stuff, but if you want the sharpness+1 skill, there are much better armours around, depending on your HR. Gravios tasset+ for example, gives you 4 skill points for sharpness+1.

how did you putted the Pop-Up Status thing??, i saw that the HP, Stamina, etc poped up when you pressed L, can that be chosen in the options??
