@1980PintoMan I know, delayed response. I've since graduated and don't check on comments, well, ever really. Anyway, the goal was to assist the bike while gaining enough momentum to self-sustain it's balance.
Hey, I'm working on a Senior Design project at Auburn University. My plan is for a bike that could assist children learning to ride. I came across your YouTube videos. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind answering a couple questions? I'm having problems determining what size motor to use. What kind of motor did you use? How much does your flywheel weigh? Thanks!
@bretts87 I do apologize for not responding when you could have used this info. However, for you and anyone else who may wonder at this point, I must say that I don't have a useful answer anyway. A selection of motors was provided by our advisor and our weight testing varied up to 5 pounds. To make more accurate calculations, one would need to know more about the bike in use. A problem we simply did not have the time to solve, leaving empirical testing in certain aspects of the design.
I"VE MASTERED THIS ALREADY! ITS MY GARAGE WALL! NEVER FALLS OVER! MUAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA

I'm pretty sure once a bike starts moving, it stays up anyway. Just being a smart ass.
