  • it seems like ottoman bow...

  • @odinese nah ottoman bows aren't as curvy i don't think pretty sure ottoman bows look more like scythian ones :D

  • @TheMHandDSfan i didnt say its ottoman bow i said it seems like:)) but true its more curvy and shorter. And ofcourse ottoman bow has been created from oghuz and the other turkic bows like uygur or scythian.

  • @yokhua That bow is priceless. Lots of respect to it's craftsman. If you made me one how much would it cost and roughly what would the draw weight be?

  • How can I purchase a qing dynasty bow? With arrows with long feathers like in pictures?

  • Drawing the string by using thumb,so then the arrow must put on the right side. this is "Asian archery" or "Mongolian archery".. And if draw the string by using three fingers, place the arrow on the left side. It is "Archer's paradox"... Read some books OK!!

  • @yokhua hahaha i like you tone

  • @zakdaman8 LOL, westerners teaching archery to an asian :D

On topic, I realy like how u manage to put torque on that left hand. I for one try to do it more smoothly but it's not that efficient as yours seems to be.

Congrats for the bow as well, though it looks like a laminated samick korean :D

  • Excellent shooting there.

  • Greetings from Montana USA

Very nice to see..I like the Bow!

  • My instructor told me never to draw from up to down because you can accidentaly shoot it off early

  • well! that depend on who is your instructor?? Japanese Yumi draw from up, Korean traditional archery draw from up, Chinese traditionally draw from up.... What do you think?? If I told you never draw from down to up because you can accidentaly shoot on your feet... AUCH!!

  • @yokhua and european archey draws . umm they just draw straight back..

  • @yokhua

hahahah.... your bow is beautifull, I am working on a horn bow, but didn´t finished it until now!

  • @lifescomicrelief Recall that composite recurve bow is a cavalry weapon: point downward = shoot your own horse.

  • Nice follow-through,although you are shooting it right handed?Shouldnt you have the arrow on the other side of the bow???

  • No. Some people shoot with the arrow on the right and use the thumb to draw the string whilet he first finger press (between knuckle one and two) presses the arrow to the bow. This ensures the awwow is more stable and though harder to learn is a far better way to shoot.

This practice was heavily used in horse archery

  • ye plus with the arrow on the right side of ther bow allows for rapid fire of the bow seeing as if the arrow was on the left u have to lie the bow down horrizontally then stand it up and shoot

  • Your discription says in traditional costume,

if its fake such as a nonfictional then its a costume but if its towards something traditional its proper attire.

Only saying this to show respect but nice vid.

  • omg he must have at least 5342345 arrows

    hehehe

  • while he's putting the arrow on the bow, he shud be facing is arrow to the ground so it won't hit n e body. i like the way he shoots though. i hate three finger shooting, i always screw up, but thumb shooting is the freakin best!

  • 중국 고유의 화살집인지요?

  • nice
