The rendering code uses an existing high level 3d Saturn library and is based off two driving demos (and one shooting demo, to be complete) that came with it and features some speed optimizations. However, a lot of tools had to be built to convert the 3d data and to generate collision data and stuff. Although collision and ground following is disabled in this release, so it's a flying demo, not driving.
