I love the work of Ricky Gervais in television and as a stand up comedian so I watched this film when shown on TV. Wow was I disappointed - it has to be one of the worst films ever made. The whole thing is rubbish from start to finish. What a waste of talent.

I think he knows he's an awful actor. His own shows, he is alright in, I'd even go as far as saying he's good in 'em, but every other film I've seen him in, he's terrible.

Absolutely hilarious man, though. If sometimes tasteless, its hard not to laugh.

Yeah well if you haven't seen the US version - I urge you to watch the UK first.

It's the original and easily the best. I'm not taking anything away from the US version, they've done a good job.

But you need to know Brent first :) the US version will pale in comparison after that. Still good though.

Ricky Gervais is a great comedian but lets not over do things. He is good but defiantly not one of the greatest comedians that have ever lived. I have to say he should stick to his stand up and comedy shows as he is a rubbish actor. He looks out of place in this film, defiantly not a good actor and defiantly not something you would like to see in a film. Terrible...Just keep to the stand up!

Come of it, the Office is not all its cracked up to be. I like it and i think most people do or would like it but its nothing amazing. He is great at stand up but rubbish at acting! Thats the truth of it!
