That level of stupidity should not be tolerated. Sometimes I really wonder if our democracy really is the best system when people like her get an equal voice to someone like christopher hitchens. I wonder if you should have to pass a basic knowledge and critical thinking test before you are allowed to vote, that really seems a lot more constructive to me.

@Keldrath We don't allow people under the age of 18 to vote, why not? Some might say it is because they are not old enough to understand things properly and make informed opinions on the matter. We discount the voice of everyone under 18 in our democracy. I wonder if an intellectually bankrupt woman like her is a good argument to say that it is not age, but level of understanding that should qualify someone to vote. Which brings me back to the test idea.

I fully agree! learning to think critically should be as mandatory as learning english. There really oughta be a "critical thinking test" every voter should pass before being allowed to vote. It certainly weeds out the crazies.. but then again, a representative democracy have to represent the stupid and crazy too... sadly.
